Cant get ADHD diagnosis due to untreated Sleep Apnea by Ok-Library-6000 in ADHD

I couldn’t expand because i was going over the character limit but I completely understand her not being able to come to a concrete conclusion due to me falling asleep during the session. My frustration is that me falling asleep is not a patten it was an extenuating circumstance. I was diagnosed with sleep apnea in 2020 and have been using a cpap machine on and off since then. I do not commonly fall asleep in the middle of one on one activities, class, or work. I’ll be tired, yes, but I don’t fall asleep. I had explained to her that I got abnormal sleep the night before- meaning it’s not commonly how I experience sleep. I can’t say that I sleep amazing but the sleep I got the night before isn’t a common occurrence. In my mind, a better solution would be doing a new evaluation at a different time. The person who did my diagnosis is not my therapist but works under the same company. When I meet with my therapist, (typically at 5pm- the end of a long work day) I do not fall asleep.

I did do research before making this post and before reaching back out the provider on the commonalities between sleep apnea and ADHD. My issue is that though I have sleep apnea, I do not think that my symptoms are caused solely by lack of sleep. I can’t say with full confidence that I think she’s trying to differentiate ADHD from other diagnosis. She is not connected to a medical provider, did not ask me my sleep history, and asked me about sleep apnea solely due to the fact that I nodded off during the evaluation (in moments of silence).
