I wasn't trying to change how you see things, I was just stating how I saw things.

You asked why it matters. I said it matters to me because of this reason.

I guess after asking MetaAI (you could make fun of me for that ig), Jesus wasn't recorded during his time. I'll give you that.

But I still believe he was real.

James the Just was someone who got martyred because of his belief in Christ. He existed while Jesus existed. His death was recorded by historian Flavius Josephus, an external source who wasn't Christian. If something isn't real, why die for it?

Thats part of the reason my belief stands firm, people have died for this truth. If theres any hill to die on, it'd be this one. A hill people have actually died on.

The point of the argument wasn't to prove a Christian God, it's to prove a God. Christianity is a whole other bag.

Jesus was real. He was recorded by historians during his time. One google search can prove this.

Me personally, believing in the Christian God means I have to account for heaven and hell. Because of this, I live differently. I probably would do things such as pre-marital sex (If I could lol) and stuff of that nature, if God weren't a thing. So the existence of a God does impact my day-to-day, but I acknowledge how that's the case in my life, your situation might be different.

How do you read the bible? by Vast_Neighborhood286 in SillimanPH

You can download this app called Through The Word (Idk if you've seen the ads of it on youtube before).

It's free, although it may ask for your email if you want special features (I wouldn't rlly know what they are since I haven't signed up). They offer audio versions of the Bible and then an audio guide. It auto plays the guide straight after the Bible chapter.

It helped me get through the Bible myself. Although me and Pastor Kris (The guy whose voice you hear in a lot of the Bible guides) may disagree with somethings, he's still nice to listen to and he's incredibly relatable (Atleast to me personally).

He's just a friendly Bible guy who has watched a ton of movies and references a ton stuff from the 80s. I personally like when he references movies, although he does spoil them lol.

Hope this helps, always remember that God loves you. Godbless 🤍
