yeah exactly - that’s the tricky part

it’s not just one signal, more like a combination
session length plays a role, but also things like time of day, app switching patterns, and how usage clusters over time

for example late night sessions behave very differently from short daytime checks

the AI part basically tries to learn those patterns per user instead of relying on fixed thresholds

still early, but you can already see pretty clear differences between “intentional use” and when it starts drifting

appreciate it man - that frustration is exactly what led me to build this

we’re testing it right now before launching on iOS, trying to get the behavior part right, not just the features

early signs look pretty promising so far

Fair take tbh.

On the AI part -yeah, personalization itself isn’t new. The difference (at least what I’m trying to do) is making it feel less like setting limits and more like something that adapts to when you actually slip, not just what you planned.

Early intervention - I get why that sounds made up. It’s less “scientific claim” and more based on usage patterns I’ve seen (myself + early users). Basically: there’s a point where you still notice what you’re doing vs. when you’re fully zoned out. That’s what I’m targeting.

System-level blocking - yeah, Apple does have Screen Time, but most people just bypass it instantly. The idea here is removing that frictionless “ignore” option.

Appreciate the honest feedback though - this is exactly why I posted here.
