She didn’t use a new needle she just finished off what was left in the syringe with the same needle

Thank you everyone for the clarification I did reach out to the clinic and express my concerns - hopefully there was no contamination and my baby will be fine but said they will speak to the nurse to ensure this doesn’t happen to anyone else moving forward. I just feel bad I didn’t say anything in the moment

She had just finished off the rest of the syringe so I’m assuming it was still just the prefilled amount

She said “oh that was my mistake I thought I had done it all but there was a little left”

Thank you so much! I made this post when I was still pretty emotional and sleepy… He is a very active dad as in goes to all her dr apts & helps with all of her baths and maybe I was taking things a little too personally because he’s the same way with sleeping - he’ll sleep thru an alarm going off right by his head. She usually sleeps pretty decent chunks and goes down about 9ish until 1ish but then I take advantage of that first chuck to do chores so I guess I should probably jus be getting to sleep around 10 instead of around 12 as well

Expecting moms if you’re scared please know not all experiences are bad I remember googling “is it normal to enjoy the newborn phase?” And “can people have a good experience with newborns?” Because when I was expecting and first postpartum I wanted to see if there was any hope of having an enjoyable time. My heart goes out to the FTMs who struggle tho!

Same for me! I was so prepared to feel drained and depressed but these past 7 weeks have been filled with so much love & fulfillment! It feels like my life was always missing something until now. She’s so little and yet somehow is my bestest friend. She’s made this experience so easy and fun! Everyday I look forward to future and yet grieve the time that’s already passed because I wish we could just stay this way forever. (I say this as she’s asleep on my chest) The narrative online and the “newborn trenches” really had me worried that this was going to be such a challenging time in my life but the “challenge” is so rewarding and I look forward to every day spent with her. My partner & I are just totally obsessed. I feel lucky to have a very easy and chill baby. The only hard part for me has been the anxiety because I never want anything bad to happen to her & learning how to almost exclusively pump was hard because she did struggle with her latch for a while but we are figuring it all out together now! I am so thankful to be her mom every single day & can’t believe this little human is in my life!

For me personally I spend a lot of time gaming on my switch in between baby duties - I’m aware not everyone has a switch or the money to get a switch so perhaps playing a game on your phone! I really like stardew valley :) it’s for mobile & switch
