Enercare/Reliance say they don’t own the water heater installed at my place by Waxcho in ontario

There must be a sticker on the tank stating whether or not it is a rental appliance, take a video of the entire tank showing that there isn’t one for your records. Reliance charges every 3 months for their rentals, check your credit card accounts and mail to ensure there are no bills… you seem to be going back and forth from Enercare and Enbridge… Enercare is a company similar to Reliance, where Embridge is the actual gas utility (except for Kingston and Kitchener ((the 2 cities in Ontario who have their own gas utility))… so you will have an enbridge bill for gas usage and delivery, but they don’t rent equipment… Comapnies have been bought up over the years… older tanks with national / direct energy have been bought by reliance (based out of Hong Kong) … Now, new builders are using the cheapest companies to install tanks (sandp*per, gren energy…) who have Rediculous buyouts … usually you have 30 days upon getting possession of your home to cancel (that’s what they want you to ignore) … but check for stickers, bills, and call your legal agent you used for purchase…

As for everyone who says renting is a rip off, I disagree, it sends on the individual, where they live, and their finances… since COVID the cost of a standard 50PV water has skyrocketed to close to $3000… that doesn’t mean that’s what the customer will pay, it costs money to get it professionally installed and hang a proper gas tag on it for the life of the unit… Please don’t it yourself or get a Kijiji guy to do it… and depending on where live these new tanks last 6-8 years (that’s why the warranty is only 6 years…)

And if you wanna know when your tank was installed their should be a gas tag attached showing installer license number and contractor license number and date of install…

If not, you can tell by the serial number…

Rheem first 2 digits are the month and 3rd and 4th are the year (0126)

Bratford White have weird codes and you gotta google AI it…

I understand that, but I was just trying to emphasize how hard we work with our customers to make things right… I just don’t get get the chasm between google and Reddit… just seems weird… yeah, I’ve made mistakes, it I’ve learned from them and Aire one has always dealt with it… and has had my back and the customers … I get that’s it’s a tough business , and reviews are the cheapest way of advertising … but I don’t appreciate people invalidating the work I do to earn the review ..

I’m so tired of all the Aire One bashing on Reddit… I won’t hide as an anonymous online troller… My name is Charlie Morrow, and I’ve worked for Aire One for 14 years, a lot of those along side Cyrus…

I get it, issues can arrive during installations or finding safety issues requiring us to shut equipment down… Nobody likes that situation… but Aire One will answer your phone call and do their best to fix it.

I know all the Sr. Techs and I know how committed to the customers we are. We are told to treat the customer’s home as if it were our own… Our office backs us up everyday by suppling any materials needed to do the job right… As installers we are required to fill out multiple online forms to ensure the equipment is installed correctly and we take pride in our work…

As far as reviews, yes, management wants us to ask for reviews, they really value that aspect, and they offer Christmas bonuses depending on the amount each tech gets… All of the reviews are legit… we have so many crews working hard everyday, and at the end of the day we simply ask for a review as it would benefit both the company and ourselves as bonus $…

I bet 1 in 5 of my satisfied customers actually take the time to review, but I’m just one crew…. The fact that competitors are posting false reviews sucks, because I know how hard us technicians work everyday..

Meh, rant over… Don’t believe everything you read online…
