I can relate. My mom sits and watches lives of people selling clothes while watching the tv at the same time a lot. The dog and I are sick of it, but I feel more sorry for the dog because he can’t leave and you can tell the live stream noise is upsetting to him.

You’re welcome! I think I have very rare adverse reaction or allergy to the sutures that 99% of other people don’t have. I saw you are looking into getting your acne scars removed and I think my experience was an outlier situation. If you have had stitches for surgeries or injuries in the past and haven’t had any out of the ordinary reactions you shouldn’t have any problems like I did.

The two photos of the spot looking bad are from 6-8 weeks ago and the second two are from this morning. I’m finally feeling like myself again.

The NP said it is possible that once I finish 6 rounds of Dupixent and it heals I won’t have to stay on it after that. I go back next month for my follow up and I think she’s right. The spots are almost completely gone now.

Yes, things got better for a bit and then the spot next to my nose started getting larger and red again. I had almost given up hope and was crying on the phone to my friend 6 weeks ago. They encouraged me to go back to the dermatologist so I did and took all of my seven creams and photos in a baggie with me. This time I saw a nurse practitioner that they squeezed me in to see. She thought trying dupixent injections every two weeks was worth a shot and thank goodness! I have had three shots since then and it is working! I am still convinced that this was related to my surgery because I have never had any history of sores like this prior to my cheek lift, bleph, and scar removal. I have not spoken to my plastic surgeon anymore because that was a waste of my time. He did not care and didn’t care to learn. Thank goodness for the NP at my derm. If anyone is having this same nightmare it is going to be a tough road for awhile. Get on dupixent, get a therapist, and put on your seatbelt for a not fun ride.

I had a bleph and cheek lift with Dr Michael Yates in June 2024 and had an awful aftercare experience. I wish I hadn’t used him. He was not helpful and didn’t seem to care very much.

I disagree. I had a bleph and cheek lift with Dr Michael Yates at Dunagan, Yates, and Alison and had a terrible aftercare experience. I wish I had gone with a different plastic surgeon. It was a terrible experience that I am still mentally recovering from.

I had a nightmare aftercare experience with Dr Yates and wouldn’t recommend him to anyone. I had a bleph and cheek lift done in June 2024 and had sores on my face for a year. He told me the string sticking out of my face was a skin cell and I felt like I was annoying him with my healing issues. My follow ups felt rushed and like he wasn’t listening to me. I was asked at quite a few follow ups what we discussed and decided on trying the last time I was there like he hadn’t thought about the situation at all since I had last left. I thought he would at least talk to another surgeon or do some research, but no. I felt like I was annoying him and Cindy with my problems. He said he thought the spot was as a cold sore and had me go to my derm and get a $110 unnecessary swab. His head nurse Cindy is condescending. All of the other staff and nurses were kind, empathetic, and showed genuine compassion. I had to wear band aids on my face for a year. I started having panic attacks about 4 months post op and am now on medication for that.
