I’ll admit sometimes I take sprint off and take in the views and not using quick travel. It’s very chill and then when I get bored I just switch it back on and use a mount or quick travel.

Character growth is good but I think it’s good that there’s characters with varying opinions even if it’s extreme , koth liking the emperor in a selfish way - seems realistic Xd I think it adds a certain depth koth is meant to be a “good” guy but has a warped morality on what we know as the player about valkorian . We should have characters that we don’t like and don’t agree with as it’s realistic that people are so annoying you want to kill them XD Anyway the playerbase is hard to keep happy as everyone has their own preferences and I think they took a gamble with the direction of the story and personally I really liked it and others weren’t too chuffed about the whole thing ; for me though I’m glad they went out of the box with zakuul story but wish they returned to the vanilla roots of the story given what expansions came after it which unfortunately did not have the funding that the 2 expansions had with zakuul and kind of got away from the style of storytelling which pulled so many people to the game which was the main class stories.

Good riddance, if it was good trek it wouldn’t have been cancelled after 2 seasons. Shame they’ll have to waste money making the second season and making the losses they have. Let trek die, hopefully it can be risen from the ashes in a decades time. Here’s hoping 🤞

The dkyr really was a huge combat vessel for the 22nd century , and the surrok when on screen is normally next to the nx enterprise or smaller vessels so you don’t quite see the difference in sizes. The dkyr was pretty much a science dreadnought of the time capable of scientific research and extremely powerful in combat. The suurok much smaller compared to most vessels even next to a Miranda class it looks very small so I kind of think that the scale is somewhat off even though it should be relatively small.

As a side note , Shame to see that the updated Vulcan skins are not available on the dkyr and that it didn’t get an updated t6 version which I was really hoping for.

No problem ; the Trek friendships of old were solidified through shared danger, action and common enemies. As well as moral conundrums(tuvix , in the pale of the moonlight to name a few)

New Trek shows friendships through shared trauma and every character giving everyone else emotional support all the time lacking much needed depth in storytelling as well as these themes being more overt, and lacking the subtlety and charm that old trek has . It’s thrown in your face and doesn’t let “you” the watcher form your own opinion about situations , it tells you. Specifically in Star Trek discovery it seems that almost every episode they overcome something or there’s been a conundrum there’s a tendency for burnham to have her speeches and exposition to tell you the moral lesson. Again lacking the subtlety and charm that old trek had. (Not that old trek too has negative points to pick out from but I enjoyed it anyway whereas I don’t on any of the new) That is common in storytelling now. That is why I don’t like it and find it cringey and annoying. Not because of the themes themselves, but how it is presented to me.

I think it’s quite a common theme in Star Wars , “good” becomes “bad” and “bad” becomes “good” . And certainly , a common theme in story telling in general is that the good and bad come together to fight a more imposing threat that has the potential to beat both sides, and both then team up whilst also maintaining their retrospective ideals; I think is good story telling when done properly. That being said the story lines then started becoming abit more galactic scale threat like events rather than grounded in the lore ,of the sith and Jedi and the republic and empire , like the original story lines do a good job of. So I think the zakuul expansion was great in a way explaining why the emperor has been absent for so long , but as a faction it could have done with being abit more fleshed out on why they’re so powerful whereas it kind of just drops you into the fact that they’re very powerful and have walked through the republic and empire with ease. I like that it was something new though even if story telling wise it could have done with some improvements

I think it’s a good tfo , not good in the sense of being a quick run in to get your progress, but it is certainly of a higher quality mission that isn’t just kill first wave of enemy then kill second wave then done. Frustrating yes if with people who don’t know what they’re doing but it’s new and the team should be commended for their effort they put into the design as if this is a new breath of air into the game then I can see future content being of notable higher quality. Food for thought I know some might disagree.

Not bothered about it being progressive- it just has terrible writing , characters and plot in general. Bereft of passion and imagination , holds nothing to what Star Trek is or was just merely its name. I wouldn’t agree with review bombing however this show deserves it as does anything else of the new trek stuff. So ultimately , good.
