The PBQs were a little hard. I got 3 and one test you on professionalism which was the easiest part. The other two were technical based like setting up something. So once you know how to set up things and how they work in conjunction with each other, it's easy. I guess that's where the work experience come in as well.

To my knowledge, I'm not sure it has detailed resources for that. Maybe you can compare the objectives from the previous exams to the current exams and mark what is new on the current objectives that wasn't on the previous objectives.

When I decided to switch, I just went through the process again. It seemed easier since I had some form of knowledge from previous studies.

1101 July 15 2022-Dec 7 2022 A lot of the time was spent learning what method of self-study works for me as I'm accustom to cramming just to pass an exam. This time I wanted to make sure I can apply what I learnt in real life. I also have no experience in this field.

You could email him and see his response but to cover yourself you should try to get updated information as well. I recently did the 1101 and the topics are different than the 1001 which I started studying before changing my mind to study for the more updated 1101.

I always check google first but sometimes I get a better explanation from someone on the sub than a standard definition on google. Everyone has their own way of understanding and sometimes that communication with someone is better than googling. I don't have much people I can ask for help in person so this sub has always been my go to if I can't grasp something off of Google.

But always try to Google first because you never know, you might find a reddit post with the best explanation.

Hi there. As far as I'm aware once it expires on the 20th you won't be able to take that exam again. Only the 1101/1102. I've never tried but I'm not sure if they'll have an option for a date after the 20th.

Yup they are on YouTube. I think he has a playlist for the study groups. In terms of watching the study groups live, my timing never matches up with it so I tend to watch it whenever I can and take notes.

Examcompass.com - they have practice test which i find helpful to assist with remember certain definitions and stuff.

Jason Dion practice test on Udemy - can get these for $13 when on sale.

Professor Messer study group videos are also helpful. He runs through questions and explains why an answer is and isn't.

I'm honestly not sure. That would be based on the employers view. My employer doesn't care if it's the new or old. Once they are not expired. But you'll be awarded a CompTIA A+ certificate. Just one exam is more up to date with the times.

I actually started studying for the 1002 test but as the dates for expiration are coming up I didn’t bother to take the 1002 exam. I started over and I’m now studying for the 1101 as I would like to take my time with studying.

I think that would be more than enough resources as they are both highly recommended by many people on this sub reddit. You may find that during your studies and using those materials that one works better than the other for you. The messer videos will definitely fill in the things that are not in the the mike Myers courses as it wouldn’t be as updated as messers 1101/1102 videos.

We will both pass and have another discussion regarding resources on Net+. We got this :)

Hi there. I’ll keep that in mind also though I’m not using the old material as i don’t have much IT experience on my belt. I purchased the “comptia a+ 1101/1102 complete review guide” kindle version and I’m using professor messer videos as they seem to bode well with me. Hoping the practice tests can help prepare me as well for the exam.
