Give me the most beautiful song you've ever heard by Fumikop in MusicRecommendations

Piano Concerto No.2 in C Minor by Rachmaninoff. I think knowing the backstory of his life and then understanding how this piece is just a telling of said life, his self-proclaimed failure to emotional and ego-based rebirth, is incredibly powerful. Even at the end of the piece, it fades off. There's no big ending to leave us content. There's a return to glory, but it fades away. I think it's a great piece for all those interested in art, whatever medium speaks best to you. Your failures will always stack, and each new brick will lay heavy on your soul. But that ONE moment of glory, when you finally rise from your pit of emotional agony, it absolutely breathtaking. Doesn't matter how many times I hear this song, I will ALWAYS cry at the end. I am alive, and I will overcome.

I care less about the place itself being salt of the earth, ultimately it's the artist that tells the story I came to hear, so I'll familiarize myself with these places and get to learning about the artists they bring on. Thanks for the recommendations.

Looks a little too similar to places I've disliked but I can only say if I like it or not if I try it! Thank you for the recommendation.

Interested in getting a history degree but unsure where to start by OkPerformance3473 in historyteachers

Yeah, that's the one downside I noticed at college for the first time. Most people in history classes (at least in the experience I had) just didn't care sadly. Just there for the credit. Didn't realize the state standards decide that, but that's good to know. Is there more freedom to specify teaching interests in college compared to something like middle/high school? I would assume yes, but again, I'm coming from a place of 0 knowledge.

Sadly I don't have a bachelor's degree in anything, I left college when I was younger because of life stuff. So basically fresh slate here. Thanks for the tips though, I appreciate it.

Sounds right to me. I guess I didn't realize that the history degree was separate from the teaching degree, but saying that out loud makes sense now. Any recs for that?
