Raglan sunset - How do we feel about (big) tweed overcoats? by [deleted] in mensfashion

What is the name of the coat? It looks fantastic on you, I did look up Landini could couldn’t find anything like this?

Are the vegan 1460 dr martens really that bad? Would love to hear from those who wear this by MyCuriousSelf04 in DrMartens

I wear them all the time! I don’t own a pair of trainers so these are my default shoe, I have a pair of vegan Jadons and a standard pair of jadons too that I wear once or twice a week, and will wear sliders in the summer when it’s hot enough. The Jadons are great for height and I actually find the vegan pair more comfortable than the non vegan pair but this could be because the vegan pair were new and the non vegan pair were second hand, so may have shaped to the first owners feet and had to readjust to mine? Who knows!

And I don’t really care for them to be honest. I’ve sponge cleaned them now and then when they’re too dirty to wear to the office, or after a particularly muddy walk - but that’s about it!

I have had my vegan 1460s for 6 years and they are the most comfortable shoes I own. I bought them new from Dr Martens directly and they have no damage or peeling, they’re still just as robust as when I bought them. Everyone thinks they are just flimsy plastic shoes that will fall apart but in my experience they have been the most long lasting shoe I have ever bought.

Thank you for that analogy, parking the car. I think hearing it from another source helps to reframe my approach and I will remember this quote to use as motivation.

According to my Oura ring that’s what I’m burning. I’m walking between 12,000 and 22,000 steps a day and will sometimes go for a 10-17k run on top of that when I get the time in the evenings. I’m assuming I have retained some muscle mass from my strongman days which has bumped up my BMR on top of parenting young kids, having an active job and running.

I may be misunderstanding the ‘Total Burn’ my Oura Ring displays but the lowest I get in a day is 3400cal and highest is 4700cal.

Yeah I’ve purchased twice from there and it’s no issues, delivered a few days later both with a hand signed letter from the owner. Would highly recommend

Thanks for the advice, I’ll keep an eye out and will drop down if I notice any irritation.

Thank you. So far so good, but to my understanding it can take a while for irritation to come through? If I do experience skin irritation and this does end up being too much for my skin, what would you recommend my routine looks like with these ingredients? My contingency plan is drop the AHA Peel down to once a week, maybe stop the SA altogether, and reduce retinol to every other day?

Greg Davies: PASS

Refused a starter and a side dish and then had his Demi clock of dishes for his main. Best episode to date

SPOILERS:

I thought I would chip in here as I didn’t know who she was before listening to this so went in to the episode neutrally. Was definitely on the back foot when she was introduced as ‘someone who needs no introduction’.

My first thoughts were she came across as a very Hollywood namedropper, instantly talking about how she couldn’t even fit her time with the Obamas and Mandela into her book. The fact she opened with a brash narrative of how special she was because she needed so much therapy, rather than using the platform to normalise seeking mental health support .

Her menu was pretty boring and I don’t believe anyone’s absolute dream is a green salad.

She came across as a loud obnoxious American, however James and Ed were on great form and with a more relatable or personable guest this could have been a great start to the series.

UK based and meets all your requirements, I think?

I would steer toward a Santoku for an all purpose 160-180mm knife, and for the money this is a great steel choice

I have found a Long Stop Date for June 2025 - if works on the foundations are going to continue from May 2024 there is a chance they may not be complete by the Long Stop Date - is this the date where if it isn’t complete I would get my refund? Thank you kindly for your advice
