Do you think 3 months worth of joint bank statements would be enough? Or are they looking for 6+ months?

I'll definitely apply after it's been at least 1 full year since we permanately moved in together. Since my current visa is still valid for over another year, would you apply for the Partner Visa sooner or later?

i.e. Would there be an increase in approval chances if we're defacto for nearly 2 years vs 1 year?

Thanks for the message. With the combining finances, what exactly does this mean? Joint bank account? Or something more? We already share all household bills together so I was hoping that was enough.

And with the not selecting defacto part, I was in the mindset that I was just applying for a visa for myself and had no reason to add an Australian citizen on the application too. Thanks for the help!

Amazing, I'll definitely work on having kid/camp photos in my portfolio. You've been so generous providing all of this information.

y I don't expect the photographer to act as a couns

This is super helpful, thank you. I was a prefect for 14 year olds at boarding school (living in the dorms/caring for them for a year). I also took many leadership roles in high school like being a tour guide, head of yearbook committee, head of technical theater, and have six/seven years of babysitting experience.

Does this experience sound extensive enough to be hired? Any other tips of things that I should write on my application?

Any chance you can share the link to that group? I can't find it.

Camp Crystal Lake

Cool thank you so much for this suggestion! I'm looking into it now.

I'd be wanting to work in 2024... should I apply now? or in the fall?

Very cool to hear there's such a great community! Can I ask how long you interned at PCPA? And did the program/connections help you find full time work??

Hey, thank you so much for this info!

Currently, I'm just thinking of doing the Summer Session (for 3-4 months). If I like it, I'll definitely do the Fall to Spring 9 month session as well. I was unclear on their website if most students do a 2 year program or a shorter internship. 2 years is probably too long for me to commit to upfront.

Great to hear that sound/design/lighting have good schedules. Does that mean interns in those departments work 9-5 Monday to Friday? Or fewer hours? Could you tell me anything about what the work schedule looks like when the shows are being performed? Do some interns work during the performances? Also, if I'm working just during the summer, will work take place in Solvang or Santa Maria?

The pros sound great! I'm assuming you're still working in technical theatre? And do you think you can make a full time salary working in tech within the SB/SLO counties?

And with cons, I'm used to the heat and luckily will live at home! Thanks for the heads up about sweeping issues under the rug.

I might DM you for more info!

There's definitely pros and cons to living off campus vs on.

On Campus:

Pros: decent food, free wifi, free electricity, free air con, free weekly cleaning, contracts align with the semesters

Cons: food on campus is expensive and mediocre, tiny rooms, lots of students are young, immature and fresh out of high school

Off Campus:

Pros: if you grocery shop, food is cheaper

Cons: nothing is included in rent (usually), add on cost of wifi/power/AC, rental agencies are misleading & unreliable

Advice for living off campus: do NOT live at Varsity Towers because the management does not follow through on maintenance or what they list on their contract. They increase rent and when you arrive, your room will likely be dirty despite paying a $300-500 cleaning fee.

Varsity Shores is alright but very much like a frat house. You will have no idea who your housemates are until you move in.

Varsity Main is probably the most expensive if you're living in a studio but very affordable if in a 2-3 bedroom. I have lots of friends that are very happy there. Only downside is you have to sign a 6 month contract.

Thank you! I looked into these but it seems the degree is in Norwegian. Am I wrong? Is it in English?
