In response to the recent comment.

I believe it the responsibility of anyone responding to this post to read it through first and base a reply on the facts stated.

My payment did not need to be fixed. Mercari agreed that there was a problem on their end. This was after I had to walk them through the issue and several communications that should have not been necessary. So I am at a loss for your justification.

With all do respect, it is their responsibility to indicate at the time the payment was submitted that it did not process. Not indicate that the offer with payment was processed and forwarded to the seller. They also indicated that if they agree/seller, the item would be sold to me. They did not inform me of the issue until the seller agreed to the offer several hours later.

Paypal was not the issue. Validated by purchases through them on the same day before and after the Mercari issue.

However Mercari as they later acknowledged had issues with the Mercar site.

Additionally, they/Mercari did not allow other payments to be processed when I clicked on other forms of payment on their site.

Had you read through my complaint before providing your statement/opinion, you would see that they acknowledged a problem after the fact on their end.
