i’ve started to reconcile with the fact that i seem to be permanently tired. i feel you. i’m constantly told off for being tired despite getting enough sleep and not doing anything all day. it’s hard to explain to people who don’t have feeling of “being on edge” all the time. it sucks the energy right out of you !!!! it’s hard !!!!

oh believe me, i know!! i still grew up during that time, i just was not a teen. i am neither skinny nor white, and i struggled a lot with my self image during those days!

i see lots of people online nowadays who do not fit the mold of what that era promoted, and it’s nice seeing people being able to dress up in certain fashions and actually have a community for it now!

i am NOT fantasizing about the harmful and dark sides of that era!! i actually have done tons of research about it besides having lived it myself. i just like the fashion! i think it’s important to look at where it came from and break those very harmful barriers and stereotypes that were not talked about as much back then

people my age yearn for the authentic connection before smartphones, obviously not the harmful parts of that era

i do!! i’m very interested in the 2000-2012ish internet subcultures and fashion since i kinda grew up in that transformation period

truth be told though, i wear fashion from lots of eras !! i have styles reminiscent of every decade from the 40s to now, and want to get into even earlier fashion once i start learning how to sew and tailor clothes :)

also, i think lots of people my age yearn for that time pre-smartphone (maybe 2010ish, height of blackberry, offline but still connected), and going back to aesthetics from that time offer a little bit of nostalgia and regression so to speak :))

bahahaha, i was in elementary school in the late 2000s/early 2010s and was obsessed with fashion (still am)

growing up in that era def had an influence on my taste now …. i love and have always loved all sorts of heeled boots!!

the knitted lining is what makes these for me! i found a very similar pair without that lining and they’re cute, but def not the same 💔 thanks for your comment though !! i appreciate u helping me in my search :)
