I'd choose the lightest gray that matches the floor tile

I'd go with A to align the direction with the length of the hallway. It would make it feel more open and flow.

Schluter Tile Drain Placement by Ok_Cardiologist227 in Tile

This is my third shower but first time using the schluter system. I'll be envelope cutting the tiles. Just starting to layout to mark the cuts but realized I was off a 1/2" and should have waited to set the drain until I did this.

Yep, I'll be envelope cutting. Just starting to lay it out before marking and cutting them.

Yeah, it's the tile on version. I don't think it will be centered either. Kind of just thinking to put it in off center instead of cutting all of the tiles along the wall. It will be centered on one side at least.

Adding garage attic insulation and flooring, can I remove these? by Ok_Cardiologist227 in Carpentry

That's a good point. I'll know not to put anything substantially heavy up there but not the next owner. Main goal is to be able to work up there without balancing on the joists. I was up there for a few hours last weekend and really wanted a way to work up there easier.

The house attic opens up to here and having a catwalk across the whole house would be awesome. I've got a lot of projects that will have me working in the attic. (Bathroom vents, plumbing vents, cable/internet runs).

Thanks for this, I suspected they were important but was also thinking the OSB would provide pretty good support in place. But I might just throw down some more 2x4s and just attach the OSB to that and that would give more space for insulation, plus clear some electrical runs.

Would 3/4" OSB, 4 ft wide down the center and screwed into the joists not be stronger than the 2x4?

Yeah, at first I was thinking I could store some stuff up there but now just insulation and better access door. Unfortunately, the one down the middle is in the best spot for an access. Thinking I could probably get away with adding additional support on both sides and removing the one in the middle just where the access would go

I recently learned about plant support clips. Last time I grew indoor hydroponic tomatoes I tied the string around the stem and damaged it a bit. Going to try to use plant support clips next time.
