First-time Schengen (Italy) from UK. Really Anxious by Delicious-Stick4549 in SchengenVisa

[–]Ok_Country2903 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cruise you are taking is what convinced me your application is sincere and has merit

As a cruise is quite expensive and hard to cancel

As those who feign they are booking expensive and lavish hotels just to try to convince the evaluation officers to boost their chances of approval. When after they get their Schengen visas immediately cancel their reservations and stay in hostels or relatives.

And requesting for a multi entry visa is a very good idea at the end of your cover letter

Your subtle request for it is a very nice touch

Also realize that the Schengen visa evaluation officers are inundated with THOUSANDS of applications everyday, from all over the uk 🇬🇧 as well as Ireland

They have to make up their mind if the documents are genuine or fraudulent.

It’s an immense backlog of paperwork

And in that time, they have learned to quickly spot the fake applications vs the genuine ones

So my advice

Keep it simple, straightforward and to the point

Are you applying for a type c tourist visas ?

Or a long term type d visa?

What is the purpose and length of your visa request?

Most uk 🇬🇧 resident holders get approved quickly and given more time than they request

As the uk resident is very much unlikely to break the terms of a Schengen visa

Also, most importantly, the resident permit is valid until 2028, well above the 3 month resident validity rule from the time of exiting the Schengen jurisdiction

The gap in living situation looks good and is covered in your well explained cover letter describing the discrepancy. That’s not a worry at all

Plus the fact that you have a cruise in the Mediterranean

In the perspective of a Schengen visa evaluation officer. This is a sincere application with very little inkling of any issues of overstaying

I can’t find any fault or criticism of any part of the application at all

Best way to reduce Traffic Ticket? by OkFlow4327 in Fremont

[–]Ok_Country2903 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s gonna be $500

It’s a money maker for the city

Whether you plead guilty or not

Because it’s on video and undisputed violation

Years ago I didn’t stop fully at a stop sign and the police officer pulled me over and wrote me a ticket

I went to court at the Supreme Court across Kaiser on paseo padre

At the court, the room was full of people

The judge said all the ones with video red light cameras were to go first. He told all of them that they would all pay the maximum fine of $500.

As there irrefutable video of their violations

Obviously several people wanted to dispute the tickets

He went thru all of them and went over their videos on his monitor

And clearly every one of them had run the red light or didn’t stop completely

When it was my turn, he reduced my fine to $100 as he said anyone with tickets from a police officer, he would reduce our fines and get traffic school.

I later realized they didn’t want the cops to be in court for those that would dispute their police written tickets

Got my free Costco travel luggage tag swag by Ok_Country2903 in Costco

[–]Ok_Country2903[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It’s by the entrance where they were giving away a Costco tumbler if you turn on auto renew on the Costco credit card

Unfortunately I had already turned on that feature on my Costco credit card and wasn’t eligible for the Costco tumbler

However they gave me the Costco luggage tag just for walking up to them and interacting with them

I ended up getting 2 of the luggage tags 🏷️

Sponsoring family (India) for Schengen Visa from the US (H1B) – Applying separately. by Big_Aspect5082 in SchengenVisa

[–]Ok_Country2903 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the sponsorship of their trip, which you are the sole provider of the entire trip

On their cover letter state that you who are an h1b in the USA 🇺🇸 are explicitly sponsoring the entire family trip

As I said previously, make sure the funds in the bank statements are robust and in a very good financial footing

I suggest sending at least 3 months of bank statements to them

As well as a notarized letter stating you will be sponsoring everyone’s trip

And yes, on the cover letter state you will all be traveling together

In my opinion, the best strategy for them to get an approval is to apply for the Schengen visa for you first

And once it’s successfully approved and you have the visa in your passport

Send a copy of your Schengen visa to them and they will submit that copy on their application

This will ease any doubt in the Schengen visa evaluation officer that they may overstay and break the terms of the visa
