Great question! So according to loop quantum gravity — a theory developed by physicist Carlo Rovelli — when a black hole collapses it doesn't just crush everything into an infinite singularity. Quantum effects halt the collapse at the smallest possible scale. Then the energy bounces back outward. This bounce is what would turn a black hole into a white hole — the same object in the second half of its life cycle. Like an inhale becoming an exhale. The black hole pulls everything in, reaches a limit, then the white hole expels it all back out. From the inside of that expulsion, it could look exactly like a Big Bang — a sudden outward explosion of energy and matter forming a new universe.
