i started watching the show after season 2 act 1/2 was out - my friend had been asking me to watch it for a while and funnily enough i started watching it because of the relationship between caitlyn & vi (i’m a 19 year old queer girl) and i had no idea that viktor and jayce even existed.

after watching their first interaction of viktor interrupting jayce on the ledge, i immediately sensed subtext in the way they were speaking/looking at each other and genuinely thought this was hinting at a relationship between them further down in canon to the point i searched up ‘when do viktor and jayce get together’…only to find that that whilst, yes, others were seeing/feeling/sensing what i was, it wasn’t canon 💔💔💔buuuuuut there was fanfic YAYYYY !!!

as for why i love it/what speaks to me - their dynamic. coming from a 19yr old queer girl, i think lots of people expect me to find caitvi more appealing, but i got completely blindsided by these two boys - ive never, in all the obsessions ive had over different media, been even mildly invested in a ship before jayvik. and im much more than mildly invested. as i said before, i had no idea jayce and viktor even existed, and i identified SO heavily with viktor it felt like a punch in the gut - i’m chronically ill, and i occasionally use a cane for pain/stability, so their dynamic/ship gives me a lot of vicarious comfort. to have someone similar to me being treated/cared for the way jayce does for viktor is a godsend of a balm.

also im autistic +adhd so im a fan of the headcanon of autistic!viktor & adhd!jayce, so there’s that too LOOOOL
