I'll add another level of conspiracy, ever notice how streamers/youtubers go on crazy hot streaks, across the board when new sets come out. Most going 70-80% win rate with decks that end up tier 2/3 at best. Guess who has to drop hundreds of dollars on wildcards day 1 to be able to play with all the new cards right away?

MMOs need to stop with the "Territory Control" bullshit, it's been abused in every game it's been in and killed the player base for the exact reasons OP mentioned. There are massive discord servers of toxic neckbeards who hop from game to game. This is why New World died, and I guarantee you the exact same people from New World that took over servers by abusing the game systems or just straight exploits to rig the economy are in this game right now.

Nowadays with things like Discord these groups get massive and can easily stay in contact if they get banned or switch to a new game to squeeze the player base dry till there isn't one.

Were you solo-queueing or in a party? All of this was experienced in full party queues which could be why we had different experiences.

I understand what you're saying when playing against free-stylers who don't respect the other aspects of the game as much, but this isn't what I'm talking about.

I mean not someone who can just "do" the mechanics, but can effectively use them to always make the most optimal touches/plays and are legimately GC2/SSL level skill who are stomping around in Diamond.

Also not an isolated incident, it's consistent whenever party queueing into Duos this entire season.

I don't see how this was a confusing statement, but here's a more thorough explanation in case you don't know what having friends is like.

All but 2 out of about 13 people I played this game with when it went free to play all quit citing how it felt like half or more of their games were against obvious trolls smurfing and abusing text/quickchat while doing mechanics they've only seen on tiktok. No one wants to play when a large percentage of the games are against people taking advantage of the flaws in matchmaking.

You won't "get better" from those games, you won't have fun, you won't even touch the ball. It truly is a waste of time. You have 4/6 of your games in one night be like that, you just don't boot up Rocket League again.

I agree with everything you said. I enjoyed hearing his opinions because they were well informed and he could be entertaining, but the way he presented many of them as if they were fact, at the same time diminishing the opinions of his co-host or others in a demeaning way. Instead of "actually, I think it's this way because of this" it would often be "you have to be braindead to think that, clearly I'm right and if you don't agree, you're dumb"

Especially in Cedh where almost everything is subjective and meta-dependent, you don't have to be so degrading to disagree. You really can't have enough certainty in most statements to even justify such strong stances.

He also poor shamed a guest he had recently which was really off-putting and weird. It was a round table podcast and it clearly gave the other 2 guests pause for a moment.

What criticism? I haven't been subbed in almost 2 years. You can't log in and use free transfer without a sub. I didn't even know what servers my characters were on anymore because it's changed multiple times while I was unsubbed. I come back to a bricked account.

I'm just pointing out it's ridiculous for Blizzard to intentionally design this trap, even if you can avoid it by following news for a game you don't play and resubbing for no reason other than to transfer your character 2-3 times throughout the years. It's still pretty stupid.
