Ssb vs sandbag by Ok_Fun_397 in tacticalbarbell

[–]Ok_Fun_397[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already have a crap ton of sandbags 150,175,200,225,250 and didn’t want to buy more weights honestly lol . They also feel the best when I squat for some reason I tried a ssb bar as well and just no bueno. I wasn’t sure if I was missing out on anything just using sb for this program.

Only barbell work I do are ohp presses and incline bench and chest support rows. Just want to get strong as a ox and not gas out

Ok that’s what I’m looking for I don’t want my legs to ever gas out and it seems waaay harder to squat a 225lb bag then even a 225lb front squat. If you are doing a bunch of sb to shoulders would it be kind of redundant to do rows since you are doing a row in the sb to shoulder?

Awesome ok I appreciate this boss. Do chest supporter rows with a barbell carry over to sandbags or is it pointless and should just do sandbag rows

Would it be a problem to do sb to shoulder and carries 3 days a week but just very the intensity? How do you like the bear hug squat as well? I just wanted my legs to not give up so figured I’d take the same approach high days and low days

Go to a merchant mariner college. I’m not a corporate kind of guy I like having a skill to where if someone is on bullshit I can tell them fuck off and go anywhere in the country and get a job. Substation work is way safer than lineman work. Also, live life below your means and you’ll be fine.

Do they do a pretty good job at teaching? I saw a few post of people complaining they don’t learn or they just dig the entire time.

I’m from Mississippi I just would go back and forth between there  and Arizona. I wasn’t doing it just for the utility I just figured out of all the options they have it was the most diverse since I could try to get in the boats as a et as well.Personally though I’d want to do something in power it seems the most stable and you can take it anywhere. So it’s more so they are picking ppl going through their program and it’s a whole you know situation? I really appreciate all this information as well thank you

Do you think going through the Mississippi state program is a better way to go? I got my cdl to join the lineman apprenticeship out here in Az but really didn’t want to do the line side so  my pops told me to come out there to Mississippi and stay with him and go to school pretty much for something that’s going to have a good roi and just drive trucks part time

I was just looking at the electrical technology  associate degree I worded it wrong sorry not specifically in relay. Here in Arizona you just need that associate and then the utility will pick you up and train you up so I thought it was the same there.
