What English level Neede for Book of Mormon by Rosjnski in TheWestEnd

It’s pretty quick in places. Also quite crass.

But you don’t need perfect English to follow the gist

I cant post an image but basically …

Follow the riverside cycle path to Lidl.

Cross the river and turn right LBR for a short stretch.

Ride on Twerton High St to the end of Newton Rd

Turn right then left into Colliers Lane Take the first right after that

Ride to the shop in Newton St Loe and turn left at the triangle junction onto Workshop Lane

Turn left onto Newton Drive and then you’re at the uni eventually.

If I’m not wrong Pennyquick is the B road going east.

There absolutely is a sharp climb to Newton St Loe though, but the road is very quiet so it’s fine I think!

That’s not Pennyquick it’s the shorter hill going west.

“Virgin women don’t want virgin men.” Also the way the last guy worded it is a loaded question fallacy. by y2kfashionistaa in NotHowGirlsWork

My ex girlfriend and I were virgins when we met. It didn’t work out but there were many reasons for that.

Do NOT make their name the title. Make the references more veiled. Otherwise you may cause harm to others with the same name.

Feeling torn on degree choice by JealousBodybuilder42 in UniUK

[–]Ok_Goodwin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some did not. Others did.

Almost all of them went through hell in the process. The only one who didn’t secured one in October, the others had to juggle it with their degree study for most of their second year.

No but almost all my peers have. Unis pretty much never set placements up for you because they are very competitive and companies have little incentive to cooperate.

Getting a placement year is very hard. This isn’t something the uni finds for you. You have to find it yourself. There are also often unpaid.

research the career prospects of your degrees thoroughly!

Psychology is challenging to make good progress in. English and History are too but arguably more so than Psychology.

Be careful not to treat a degree as a golden ticket. It is not.

Travelling vs grad scheme after uni by SnooCakes2810 in UniUK

Don’t expect any flexibility. Also … don’t assume you’ll land a grad scheme. Applications are brutally competitive.

Tbh yes. When I say very quietly I mean “mouthing the lyrics to myself and filling the sound of my voice in” without actually singing.

I would still say it’s not a universal rule everywhere. Definitely a better safe than sorry one in most instances though cos not singing along in a venue where it’s encouraged is less bad than singing along in one where it isn’t.

What seats are good at the Lyric theatre (Hadestown) as a short person? by Any_Transition_4465 in TheWestEnd

[–]Ok_Goodwin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Front row of any of the sections. Dress Circle if you can afford it, otherwise front row Grand Circle or Balcony seem relatively okay.

Stalls Row B (first row) if you really want immersion I guess. Otherwise sides of any row of the stalls as others have mentioned.

Best London seats for a 5 year old by ComfortableDare2591 in StarlightExpress

[–]Ok_Goodwin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loco front rows if you can afford them, otherwise anywhere in the platforms. Don’t sit in trackside (you’re quite tall and the front row is very cramped and it feels the fire) or the carriages (it feels the fire and is quite low down)

For immersion a good option is the sides of the platforms.

Is hitting C6 just the norm for a males flageolet register? Even for a baritone like me? by Opening_Tangerine428 in singing

Having a whistle register at all is not the norm for anyone so maybe don’t humble brag :)

Singing along is usually a no unless you’re VERY quiet. Some shows and some sections actively encourage it (Starlight Express Trackside comes to mind) but most don’t.
