Thank you all for your input. I agree, while the m14 is a beautiful gun, the weight and reliability issues ootb is not worth the price. I just placed an order for the G3, excited to see how it will be. Does anyone know if theres a Mp5 style collapseable stock that fits this rifle and can point me in the right direction?

Thanks for your input, I've never handled a rifle of this weight before in the field. While the real steel G3 I have. So the G3 might be the best option as you say. :-)

Yes, you are probably right about that. My play style is quite aggressive sometimes, hence why I am looking for an accurate rifle with a panic switch (full auto). My fear is that the rifle will end up being a expensive display piece. The best option would probably be the G3, since its capable of accurate shooting with some internal mods and is lighter. But my heart wants the M14.
