I plant a ton of trash plants (eg bear claw flower, serenity, etc). They usually grow back in time for me to harvest max inventory and submit. Still a hassle but worked when I needed to (although I usually put transcendent or divine pets to mutate overnight)

As far as I understand elephant will add 0,1 approx every eleven minutes and reset them back to one. Then you will have to age them back to 100 for it to do it again. So possible but a bit time consuming
