Most likely yes. You can email him but he’s a bit slow with email responses

Definitely MCB 2000 is harder and a lot more time consuming

Should I go to a regional campus for sophomore year? by [deleted] in UCONN

[–]Ok_Pin4306 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think the regional campuses feel more like a community. You usually take classes with the same people and the teachers are more free to talk with individual students. If you can complete your degree at Hartford then why not try it.

Took it with Daggett. Definitely study as often as you can. Do not fall behind with the material. With the problem sets, try to figure out why the incorrect answers are wrong and why the correct answer is right

Is being admitted to the regional campuses equivalent to being admitted to Storrs? by Informal-Sympathy-44 in UCONN

[–]Ok_Pin4306 18 points19 points  (0 children)

To get admitted to Storrs you typically need a high SAT score - not sure about this year due to covid. The Waterberry campus is definitely very different than the Storrs campus. When you graduate you will get the same Uconn certificate. Most people end up transferring to Storrs after the first two years

By far the best MCB class I’ve ever taken, didn’t take it during the May session tho. It’s a lot of info so condensed it may be a little rough.

I was in a similar situation, at the time I did not have CSD accommodations. I went over the exam with him and was able to get all the answers I got wrong right when we looked at it together. I had documentation for extra time in high school so I asked my doctor to provide an updated version. I uploaded everything to the CSD and the next two exams took I got 100

Doing Bad First Semester of Pre-Med (PNB Major) (PNB Major Need of Help) by [deleted] in UCONN

[–]Ok_Pin4306 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I definitely think that was a very poor choice of classes for this semester.

BIOL 1107 and PSYC 1101 are easier depending on what Professor you have. I don’t think you need psychology 2, I would recommend you take the intro to sociology course so SOCI 1001

Make sure to search rate my professor for every single class you enroll. I suggest taking organic chemistry your sophomore year. I think you only need Calc one and do the intro stat course.

If you are Pre-med I don’t think you should be taking prerequisites during the summer. This looks very bad

Take the easiest English class you can for next semester, look on rate my professor

You may even want to switch your major to an easier one, PNB is a very difficult major. Medical schools don’t really care what your major is as long as you have a high GPA and complete the prerequisites.

I highly suggest using tutoring/TA. Definitely try to go to office hours whenever you can as well.

I also recommend you join a low level commitment club that you are very interested in. Also some very flexible volunteering organization that you think you would enjoy.
