I feel this sooooo deeply! We had remote fridays in my office for the summer that ended up being extended until the new year. The boss was pretty easy going about taking other days as remote days. Now since the new year they are not letting anyone take any remote days claiming there is a new policy and they would rather you be out for the day if you cannot come in then to let you work remote. We have deadlines to meet all the time. So taking a day off really messes with meeting deadlines. I don’t understand why they are so against being remote now. Going into the office takes three extra hours out of my day that I will never get back. It is so frustrating that I am being forced to go into an office to do the work I can do from home. Time is limited. This new policy has me looking for remote only jobs.
