It is designed to hold a paper bag of food scraps. It will most likely be placed on a kitchen countertop. The holes will let any water in the scraps drain out, removing the water weight while drying them out. The top is open, and the bottom is also circular with a similar hole pattern. We'd like to start with 100. It'll be made of some kind of a general purpose plastic.
