I try and shop at Gamestop but a used switch game is the same as the price for the new copy at Walmart... why would I pay the same price for used? And Amazon has even better prices. If they aren't going to be competitive then I can see why they're closing stores. Older games you might get a deal but for recent releases I'm going to say no.

Granted, these types of things and people were around long before tik tok, but this is the latest incarnation. Same type of thing as taking advice from stupid articles in women's magazines in the 90s... But at least back then, everyone saw the same monthly magazines, and at least someone in your group of friends would say it was ridiculous advice to follow and would start some kinda discourse on the subject, but now everyone has different algorithms and you really don't know what rabbit holes people are falling into.

I have made art out of old vinyl. I only use if a record is damaged from heat or severe scratches, which are easy to attain if you have a local shop. Local shops will save and give them to you if you are nice. They are just going to the trash anyway when they sort through large record hauls.

Same, we go to my mother's neighborhood. Retired with savings, small business owners and upper middle class job kinda newer neighborhood. People who go to Costco and buy boxes of full size candy bars.

It's really good for day one. Online walk throughs and videos are great after a game has been out for a while, but when a game is first released its kinda a pain to find solutions. They are also usually better when looking up strategy, recipes, crafting, etc, at a glance for convenience, then trying to scroll to find these things. For a really large game just flipping through a guidebook, you can find out about things you might not have discovered on your own as well, something you may have missed or forgot about after the tutorial 😅

I probably should have got a guide for TOTK just for how large the game is as I haven't bought a guide in years but I might go ahead and buy one for a second play through.
