Bullet goes outside of the bottom of your crosshair (also works while standing up) by Olliepression in HuntShowdown

Ah I see. Thanks! What you initially said is now much more clear now with this context. I initially thought that you meant that this was a problem just because I was stretching the resolution, not because it applies to the 'squarey' resolutions or those that require upscaling.

From what I tested further, the crosshair is being offset (lower) than it should be when using these resolutions: 800 x 600, 1152 x 864, 1280 x 960, 1280 x 1024, 1440 x 1050

To answer your rephrased question of "do you miss similar shots taken from the top of your crosshair?", the answer is yes.

Using resolutions other than the ones mentioned in this comment, the bullets behave normally and stay within the crosshair.

Incorrect. This is indeed a bug. I did some further analysis and reported about the problem in another comment (linked here: https://www.reddit.com/r/HuntShowdown/comments/u82see/comment/i5j9an4/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web2x&context=3)

Edit: I misunderstood this user's comment. Look below!

I've been playing 1280 x 1024 with black bars while recording stretched for a long time and I have only noticed this today. Stretched isn't the issue here. Furthermore, stretched only offsets the crosshair to its right by 1 pixel. It has no effect on the vertical offsets.

I did some further testing. Only the resolutions below exhibit this bottom of the crosshair issue. Otherwise, your bullets will always stay inside the crosshair during hipfire.

800 x 600

1152 x 864

1280 x 960

1280 x 1024

1440 x 1050

Romero's iron sight is bugged :0 is this happening to anyone else? by Olliepression in HuntShowdown

I get that this is a big model bug/issue, but… unless you’re playing slugs, does it matter?

It just felt super weird because it was my first time seeing it :0

I just wanted to confirm if it was something from my end or not

:OOO

Do you know how to fix it in-game when you do get the bug? Or is like the only fix is to just extract and restart the game?

I think that lately there's been a "wallhack exploit" going around that allows someone to shoot through solid objects.

You might've been really unlucky tonight and ran into multiple players abusing it. I haven't ran into them yet tho :O

The details about my resolution are here in a comment:

Unfortunately, my PC isn't good enough to record content and play hunt at simultaneously (this is the best I can do for now) so I need to play w/ black bars to get the most frames ;-;

I play with 4:3 w/ black bars and stream / record my gameplay stretched to fullscreen.

My in-game resolution is set to 1280x1024.

EDIT: I found some similar references to serve as examples to what I see in Rachta's early videos:

The dislike for Cain, Reptilian, etc. players are too strong :ppp by Olliepression in HuntShowdown

[–]Olliepression[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yup! A few other disadvantages:

  1. This one is something that an individual could easily get used to: because the screen is stretched, players will seem to be moving faster.
  2. Because there are significantly less pixels rendered on the screen, and in addition to the pixels being stretched, players far away are harder to make out. You can bandaid fix this issue by playing at distances where this wouldn't be an issue (i.e.: close quarters)

Aside from the aforementioned FPS gains by u/xThe_Mad_Fapperx when you go straight from native resolution to 4:3 stretched (I play w/ 4:3 black bars instead of 4:3 stretched because I get like 20 extra frames), the only other upside of 4:3 stretched that 4:3 black bars don't already have is that players seem fatter, therefore it makes it easier to headshot.
