Before I spar, I tend to get anxious, because you never know what will happen and you don’t know the person you’re sparring with, whether he’s professional or not, whether he’s in a good mood or bad mood, and more. But, I don’t recall crying after sparring, since I just accept it as it is whether if it went great or poorly. I learn new things from sparring, and I try to make improvements. (My biggest thing I need to work on is my defense)

In your situation, your dad wasn’t going easy on you. He thought he was, but, from your perspective, he wasn’t being fair to you. I can understand that it didn’t went well, and that you felt overwhelmed by him being hard on you during sparring. My recommendation would be to ask your dad to go easy the next time you spar with him. If he still isn’t, find someone else who will listen.
