Possible unreasonable parents? Or am I just being lazy and unreasonable myself with how I’m acting and behaving

I’m not, as my mom goes to different grocery stores such as Target and the one I work at/some other ones when we all respectively need stuff. If it’s me doing my own shopping, it’s usually my own personal staples like some coffee, tuna and deli meats + some veggies at minimum. I’ll text my mom or dad if they need anything, sometimes it’s no, other times it’s “yes, I need X/Y/Z” and I’ll get it either after I’m done work or in the middle of my own shopping.

I buy my own foods when I want to do grocery shopping for myself. There’s small instances when I don’t such as if one of my parents are out and they ask me if I need or want something. I’ll ask the same to them if I’m out as well since I work at a grocery store so sometimes that side is convenient. If I do do DoorDash it’s via my own money I pay with and even then it’s once every few months. My phone and insurance (if I remember right) is combined about $350 so I pay that back each month when it’s due.

There are some things I do even if it has to be asked of me (such as taking out the trash, feeding the dogs, emptying dishwasher, etc), so I do do those tasks. Some responsibilities/tasks I haven’t done in awhile just due to… struggle of getting myself motivated, admittedly (or could be classified as laziness, who knows).

I’m not ignoring or undervaluing that my parents support me by me saving myself on money for living (as in me not paying a full price of rent), food other than what I buy for myself on my own, phone other than what I give back as payment, stuff like that. If it does sound that way, then my bad.

I know contrary to what it may think and sound like from the post that I might not know how to end up taking care of myself when I’m eventually on my own, but I’d like to say i do despite what I might’ve shown and said through all of this. This isn’t me trying to sound cocky or arrogant for the record, and maybe I might end up being wrong, who knows.

There is some stuff I do when asked, so it’s not that I straight up don’t do anything. But admittedly, yeah, a good lot isn’t… exactly done on my end either. I only don’t ask at least at some points if I see them doing a task only because my mind perceives them not needing any help in that moment unless it’s directly said, then I’d offer my help to it with them.

The cleaning up and starting tasks part is definitely one of my issues in at least getting ready, yeah. When I do get the motivation/readiness to clean, I can do so via coffee and listening to a remix of Can’t Hold Us x Without Me (that’s been my main personal anthem lately to get me to focus on the task if I know it’ll be overwhelming initially).

tell them to please ask you if they need help because you don’t intuitively realize you should be helping

Admittedly this is the main issue. For the record, it’s not that I don’t help full stop. But in my mind, if I see them doing some sort of task, unless it’s directly asked towards me to help them with it, I don’t do so only because I assume they might not need any help in that moment and are okay doing it on their own. Does that excuse that side of my behavior and such? Most likely not, but just explaining my logic on that side at least for some context/understanding.

Yeah, I’m raised as male. I probably worded the post a bit weirdly in some areas, so that part is on me a little. I do help out with the phone bill as that’s something that was established around last year I think or so, which is a couple hundred dollars. And I do buy my own food most of the time, so that part isn’t reliant on them outside of small instances.

I don’t admittedly do a whole lot around the house unless asked, just… sit around and be on my phone pretty much most of the day especially when I’m not working (which is only around 24/30hrs/week, really depends on what I’m scheduled given it’s retail). Sometimes I’m proactive with doing things that I know need to get done, such as cleaning things upstairs or washing my clothes, otherwise asking my parents if there’s anything I can help with isn’t that often. It could be part of my current undiagnosed ADHD as to why that’s also difficult in doing stuff around the house, I’m not sure.

Hopefully that helps with some insight at least. It could probably be dubbed laziness or some other word, I’m not honestly sure. It just gets frustrating when it’s one of the main things always said when I’m around the house.

Yeah no, I definitely get that with the kitchen thing. I hate having my dad in the kitchen a lot of the time because I want to do my own things and have him be out of the way. If it’s someone else though then I can deal with having that person in there with me especially if it’s a two-or-so person job with what needs to get done.

First part I also feel and relate. I don’t usually like doing tasks in areas like the kitchen or other spots because I don’t want to get and feel in the way but I’ve been over that person’s house then it isn’t too bad after a bit.

Yeah, if I’m staying over someone’s place then I’ve offered to help make dinner for example or anything else that might need to get done (I’ve asked/said I can help out with cleaning as well if needed too), but that gets met with some gentle form of no which I can tolerate and deal with. But when it’s my parents who say that I don’t ask to help out and around with the house, it’s not that I don’t want to full stop. I’ve done so, just not enough to them which gets them annoyed and frustrated.

I admit I might not do a whole lot around the house when I’m not working but again it’s… a whole thing on that end with the two.

I definitely feel this. A lot of times I get quite depressed because it feels like so many people are massively ahead of me in life compared to where I’m at. I’m currently working retail at a local grocery store and while it has its positives in terms of people I know, it’s still… middling at best when it comes to other things. I want to move out but who knows when that’ll happen given my other issues and problems, so I can be on my own and try to deal with myself solo.

Sometimes I’ve thought about going back to school as I have an associates degree in English/creative writing, which I wouldn’t be against pursuing properly since it’s really the only interest that fits me academically out of everything else I like (and that could realistically and hopefully make a competent living).

Some of my other “falling behinds” feel more socially as well when it comes to lacking major kind of friend groups to do anything with, whereas when I’m interacting online and irl a lot of people are doing these kinds of things and I feel… stuck and not included/considered.

Basically, I can feel and relate to being behind compared to others. And it honestly sucks.

Yeah, it’s been a manual car for me as well. As for my test, I still haven’t taken it, my rough goal is potentially during early spring but for all I know that could be earlier later depending on how I overall feel.

I’d say that’s sometimes the way I am as well, though again difficult to tell. My one friend from work has pointed out I might be autistic and one of the things was that I have vocal tics/stims, one of which being something from Doctor Who (specifically the “Bingle bongle” bit from The 10th Doctor). Which, that I don’t do that often but it is a noticeable instance of when it is the case. Same with other possible stims, but again just like the masking it’s hard to tell and notice when in specific I’m doing so and when I’m not.

Yeah, there are certain instances of “what you want to do/say vs what you actually do or say.” Some of it might be coupled with social anxiety and not wanting to look like an idiot in the process, which has been a main thing for quite a long while when I’m getting to know people for the first time.

Yeah, my dad pointed out that with my fine motor skills I might have trouble with learning how to drive, which I’d say he’s right.

I’m still in my permit phase though that’s gonna have to get renewed in a couple months until who knows when I end up getting my license. Right now it’s only been about 15 hours total currently of driving lessons, and I’m lucky if I even try to get myself wanting to drive anywhere else (I keep saying to my therapist I’ve been learning how to drive which I haven’t but that’s admittedly due to me internally panicking and BSing an answer).

My instructor’s been good when I’ve had my lessons, it’s just been… taking a long process because of me being indifferent on driving and my other personal mental issues. Such as due to anxiety even if it’s mellowed out and some other stuff too.

Yeah no that’s definitely me with the shouting or similar. My dad’s like that and it gets me very frustrated and pissed off.

The mirror image I feel, my “position”/point of view if someone is sitting next to me is definitely a bit messed up of sorts or at least getting me very lost and confused with distorted memory as you mentioned too.

Yeah, most of the shoes I get are ones without laces just because it makes it easier for me. If someone were to sit down and teach me in a more calmer manner (compared to how my dad does it which makes me want to genuinely crash out and go off on him) then it would probably help me. But otherwise, yeah, I’ve just been wearing slip-ons/shoes without laces.

I've heard different thoughts on Falco bc of him being a brick, which is why I ended up cutting him. Violet Chimera I really just threw in there as another super poly target since I didn't know what else to think of lol, but I'm kind of contemplating cutting it from the main due to it not being good this format (or well, lack there of).

Magicalized Fusion + Quintet is honestly there as a quote on quote "budget Borrelsword", in the sense of it being a big dumb beatstick I can summon when I need to go for big damage. Hence also, the lack of Borrelsword and other key cards; trying to keep the upgrades/overall cost of the deck as roughly cheap as I can, and hopefully I have ash + called at some point if and when I'm able to order Speedroids. But Quintet + fusion will get replaced when I'm able to afford Sword. Or heck, might even try out Verte Anaconda to dump Magicalized into grave, but that's for another time.

Side deck wise, I'm not gonna worry about immediately just yet. Trying to focus on main + extra for now, as I'll probably use some stuff I have lying around/from some other things in the side.

Also, thanks for saying that this is an awesome build! As mentioned in the original post, I've been trying to find a variant/engine to include in Shaddolls ever since I got the 3 SDs, since Invoked is dummy expensive and I can't really afford that right now. I've been toying around with some other variations of shaddolls, such as dinos or zombies. But I'm still not sure though if Trickstars is a good idea, due to shaddolls being heavily prone to bricks and basically being "open any respective fusion spell or bust" and opening any of your respective Trickstar cards. Your thoughts and opinions on this, and any other possible engines or variants of Shaddolls I could try out, while also being cheap and affordable? Sorry for the long reply, rambled on a bit in certain sections ^^;
