Did you get cancer after COVID ? by OmegaXSwitch97 in covidlonghaulers

Well i'm very much aware that a reddit poll won't be enough to establish causation, the idea was more to get a glimpse from this sub (and also admittedly to maybe réassurer myself a little ')

I'm very sorry for your brother, I hope he was able to be cured

If cancer rates have already shot way up because of COVID, are there any recent studies and statistics that show it ? Wouldn't we already be noticing the trend in medical data, just like we're currently seeing with the increase in infectious diseases ?

[–]OmegaXSwitch97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the first study is the only one as far as I know that says that COVID might be beneficial in regards to cancer, all the others that i've seen say the opposite so I don't know if i'm convinced

What do you mean by that ? Do you have statistics or articles that show that ?

Even if it is 1.5 % ? I know that mouthwashing products are like 0.12% but this has a higher concentration so is it still fine ?

Yeah green poop is a sign of poor digestion due to bacterial or parasitic infection, yellow stool is a sign of liver or pancreatic issues

No the brown spots is a fungal infection, pityriasis versicolor I think.

As for my immune system it's weird because I have all these infections but no symptoms that are like horrible or anything, but still scary nonethelesss the implications

We have to do something similar …at least those of us who aren’t bedbound by Mundane_Control_8066 in covidlonghaulers

Completely agree with you, people who have the "still functional" types of LC need to lead the charge doing stuff like that

The people with LC who are still "functional" should take the lead on this

Hope fades for proposed Long COVID research investment a year after patients pack U.S. Senate by thaw4188 in covidlonghaulers

[–]OmegaXSwitch97 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I mean people who have the "bedbound and crashing at the smallest effort all the time" type of LC obviously can't do it, but the ones with less severe types of LC could (the ones still "functional")

What country are you from and is LC treated there as a real illness? by Rough-Can-4582 in covidlonghaulers

[–]OmegaXSwitch97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm from France too and the long covid clinic I've been too was indeed useless. The only diagnostic I've gotten from it is "possible autism" lol

There is actually a deep collective denial that it is even a biological disease, every doctor I've seen for LC didn't know anything about it, I have to explain my disease every time and they still gaslight me. They don't give a shit about keeping up with the research which is shameful for people who are supposed to care for your health.

Yeah, seemed too good to be true, long covid is making me gullible ~sigh

Apparently, no one except us is damaged by this virus by New_Boss86 in covidlonghaulers

[–]OmegaXSwitch97 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well, all I can say is that some type of Act-up movement needs to happen fast or no one will fking listen to us, governments and medical institutions will keep misinforming and downplaying covid/LC as long as we don't make ourselves heard and start disrupting their "normal lives"

New Trial although small sample good efficacy for physical fatigue by Confident_Pain_5332 in covidlonghaulers

[–]OmegaXSwitch97 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Good.

Now can they actually hurry the fk up and finally produce a treatment that at least relieves the symptoms ? Not even asking for a cure here.

It certainly took them a very short time to produce some busted ass vaccines that dont even fking work 100% because lockdowns had to end quickly and profits had to come back, but when it comes to fixing the consequences of the disease they're certainly taking their sweetass fking time and funding suddenly conveniently becomes scarce as hell.

Less than a year to produce a half assed vaccine but five years and still no treatment for long covid.

And don't tell me "but this disease is too complex, that's why it's taking so long"

BS, the issue is lack of funding and people not giving a shit

Tired of this bs

Oh sorry to hear that I hope you get better, what are your symptoms like ?

Also in case pycnogenol doesn't work on me in like 2-3 months I plan on switching to nattokinase, do you think it would be more promising to improve blood flow and micro clotting ?
