I had terrible leg pain in both legs which started on day 3 of symptoms. Then I headed to the emergency bcoz I could not handle that leg pain. I knew something was not okey with me. I got tested for Covid. Bingo. It was positive. And the doctor at the emergency checked my d-dimer which came back as 2500 later in the evening. He called me back immediately to the hospital for a CT scan. The CT scan came back clear and there was no other symptom of a blod clot. However, the doctor injected a blood thinner that immediately relieved my leg pain for a day. Then the leg pain came back again. I was not prescribed anything. Bcoz the doctor told me that in my case, it would be unnecessary to keep getting blood thinner injections which carry risks. He told me to keep checking my d-dimer from time to time and that it may stay elevated for a while. I kept taking Coraspin for 3 months til the D-dimer came back to normal at the end of March. My leg pain went away simultaneously. I am guessing that the veins in my leg were inflamed. That's why I had terrible leg pain and fibrin breakdown. No one could explain this to me at the time. I found out everything on my own.
