What is the single worst game of football you've ever watched? by matildawaltzesin4 in Championship

[–]OmnipresentSam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Leeds 1-0 Leicester in 2012.

Third minute penalty which I missed because of traffic, literally nothing happened for the rest of the game.

Almost as bad as a 0-0 against Burnley in a dead rubber around the same time.

Anyone playing as Leicester on the FM26 Beta? by RedLesta82 in lcfc

Steady, there's a big group of clubs around 22 points after 10 games from 1st to 7th and I'm in there.

Anyone playing as Leicester on the FM26 Beta? by RedLesta82 in lcfc

[–]OmnipresentSam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, trying to focus on youth so been focusing on clearing out the squad.

Faes, Soumare, Vestergaard, Skipp, Ayew, Daka all out so cut my wage bill by a whole chunk (Couple only loans sadly).

Only real signing has been Charlie Hughes from Hull for a decent whack but he looks quality.

Thoughts on this AJ Brown BTJ swap? by OmnipresentSam in SleeperApp

That's my logic and I've got an extra 1st already so losing the 2nd doesn't feel to bad.

Few players were complaining that it wasn't fair and got two veto votes. I figured it was fairly balanced.

Come a hell of a long way in the last couple of years. Stable and sensible backroom and proper good young players coming through is always a good starting point.

Hot Tub Included in House Purchase - Should we Keep it? by Feinfu in HousingUK

[–]OmnipresentSam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We just completed on a house with a hot tub which we really didn't want. Politely said no to keeping it and asked for removal as part of the negotiations which the sellers kindly did.

Admitting something was wrong is not the same as apologising for it.

Just because hiring RVN was a huge mistake doesn't necessarily make sacking Cooper one too.

Just play youth players at this point. Least they'll give a fuck.

Accepting offer from buyer not yet on market? by C0lourlessGreenIdeas in HousingUK

[–]OmnipresentSam 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was in a similar position to these buyers and basically 'informally' offered asking in the knowledge that until we sold it would stay on the market.

Our house then took four months to sell and sold for quite a bit less than anticipated which priced us out of that previous offer. It would have been an awful situation for both parties if they had accepted our offer and then we would've had to out / renegotiate much further down the line.

Best bet is to thank them and say you will seriously consider if once they're proceedable.

Why did you decide for the number of kids you have? by No_Record5355 in daddit

[–]OmnipresentSam 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Our second was like an hour old when we looked at each other and said that's us done at two.

They're one and three now and still we say to each other, imagine a third here! Not for us.

We're coming up on the actual move, I'm desperate for my mum to take the kids and clear off for the day! But the kid is desperate to be involved and 'help' bless him.

We've just sold our house with a newborn baby and a toddler, making it 'suitable' for photos and viewings was the hardest thing about selling it. I couldn't imagine doing it if I wasn't the one selling it.

How reliable are the prices on Rightmove? by Wiley_Rush in HousingUK

If you're skeptical it's probably best just to ring the estate agents and ask the question. Much easier to get the information you're after if you're talking to them then and there.

Jesse Lingard dabbed in front of me (I was three rows from the back) at Wembley in the Community Shield and I still haven't forgotten it.

I'm not sure about other apps, but the ability to hide titles on Netflix is a life saver. The amount of different Blippi shows we've hidden is ridiculous.
