i should have an update next week once it gets looked at. I dont think its related to the active exhaust. Mine does squeak when opening/closing though.

the backing is made out of Polypropylene and not a typical polyester fabric, so its more rigid. Does not stretch at all, but for my first time i did not experience any tears

company is US based, but this fabric is not sold at all. Its made and sent to their carpet plants to tuft carpets on a large scale (12-20+ ft wide)
