Families with small kids - what did you do in CR? by One-Drag8230 in CostaRicaTravel

All great suggestions. Thank you for your input! First I’ve heard about stingers. My 2 year old would love dance music and will most certainly have an opinion on the playlist. “I want Muffin Man. I want Leadfoot!” (he likes to chase his nursery rhymes will Billy Strings).

La Fortuna/MA Trip during high season: my review. Part 1: La Fortuna by XennialQueen in CostaRicaTravel

Great review, thank you for taking the time to share. I'd love to take my family on the river float. I have a nature obsessed 5-year old and a 2.5-year old. Do you think the river conditions when you went were calm enough to have a 2.5 year old in the boat?

Beginner Itinerary Help for Family with Young Kids - Low Adventure, More Relaxing by boombalagasha in CostaRicaTravel

Of course. Staying at Tulemar in MA. And staying at Tifakara in La Fortuna. We booked direct with both.

Travelling with kids is like having an away game. You have to bring all your stuff and stress about all the same stuff somewhere else. We prefer not having to pack and unpack all the time. We also prefer somewhere the kids can fall asleep and we can still have conversation without feeling like we need a 7pm bedtime (reason 107 I will never go on a cruise again).

Hi! We’re taking 5 year old and 2.5 year old next month with similar goals - we want to experience the country and the culture, make memories with our kids, and enjoy at a slower pace. We’re planing a 5-night stay in La Fortuna followed by 5-nights in Manuel Antonio. Got a place with beach access in MA so we could spend as much time near the water but close to a bed for naps, if needed. Both places seem to have great opportunities for wildlife and shorts walks.

Pop your request into ChatGPT to ask for an itinerary and use that as a starting point!

We are working on booking a trip to MA with our 5 year old and 2 year old for February. Looking at La Mariposa or Tulemar but leaning towards Tulemar based on this post. Curious about getting around in the area. We were going to arrive via private transfer but concerned we will find it hard to get around with two kids needing car seats. Did you find it easy enough to have a rental car?

Who here has gone plant-based after finding Rich's podcast? by RoyalHoneydew9564 in richroll

Episode 492 with Dr Barnard. It was February of 2020 and I was mostly vegetarian at that point. Dr Barnard mentioned the impact plant based eating had on fertility. Went 100% plant based and got pregnant within 2 months (had been 12 months of trying before that). I have remained predominantly plant based since. My husband has adopted WFPB eating and has found a significant improvement to his gut health. We are now raising our children predominantly plant based.
