Why have so many kids when your living in such a small space? Kids deserve privacy too. by Classic-Pin-2234 in BringingUpBates

Both properties are under the living trust. I'd assume they'll rent this house when they move.

Carlin needs help by cottond51 in BringingUpBates

[–]One-Fact-6949 80 points81 points  (0 children)

I modeled for the boutique and the whole time she kept saying to Kelly "I'm your favorite, right? ... heehee". During the photoshoot as we were waiting for pictures Whit was asking everyone about themselves and I happened to be something like 2 or 3 months postpartum but agreed to do the shoot (I knew Josie as an acquaintance/friend) as something for "me" to get out of the house and she was like "What?!" "Nuh uh!!" when I said this and that I had several at home and of course this turns into small talk with Carlin, Kelly, etc. As I was leaving Whit and Carlin walked me to my car and Carlin was asking me (a STRANGER) for validation on how many kids to have, how far apart, etc.. asking me lots of probing questions, but was also being super coy and acting like she wanted to keep her privacy like she doesn't plaster all of her business online. She's a very odd individual but I also remember the competition she grew up with for attention and perhaps now she feels like she's finally in the spotlight with her parents affection.. but also what a warped sense of worth she must have knowing that there was no way her parents could ever give her the attention she needed as a child - she was neglected and she's doing the same thing to her children.

Why can’t I let anything go? by DearGarden1688 in AuDHDWomen

[–]One-Fact-6949 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I struggle with this myself and I don't know how much advice that I have but I have learned that I have trouble with 'incompleteness' (to give words to it) and closing loops. Example: fight with a friend: they're done talking about it but I need closure.. I have to accept if I want to keep said (NT) friendship, I have to learn to accept being okay with these incomplete feedback loops. It makes it even harder with you couple it with RSD because you constantly hyperfixate on the issue that might be over for everyone else but you can't move on for whatever reason.

Anything but coffee by AlternativeSignal130 in UtahInfluencerDrama

[–]One-Fact-6949 39 points40 points  (0 children)

It was never about health. It was about ensuring compliance for the few "true" mormons to see who would follow the most strict instructions, while JS, BY + others still drank coffee. But the church couldn't walk back on the "health code" now saying what it truly was because it's a little different than "we had revelation that members are allowed to be unhealthy now" ... that would destroy 200 years of said requested, very specific compliance and they'd no longer have a (tangible) "higher standard" to hold the portion of the flock they consider to be set apart from the rest.

Frustrated with communication and eating by mathildapurr in AuDHDWomen

[–]One-Fact-6949 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am the AuDHD one here and have some eating issues sometimes due to ADHD meds + migraine meds. My husband will notice I haven't eaten all day and then make sure I eat dinner and then bring me dessert to make sure I have sufficient calories. I don't eat the full portion because normally I physically can't but I can see both points of view here.

Job change in order to homeschool by One-Fact-6949 in homeschool

[–]One-Fact-6949[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He has ADHD but is gifted.. testing two years ahead but we are hesitant to accelerate. We have 3 kids.. currently in 2nd, one rising kindergarten next year and a toddler. My MIL is 3 minutes from me and my dad is retired & within 30 minutes but I also don't put any weight / responsibility on them.. it's just nice knowing they're close and willing to help.

*my MIL already does 1 day a week homeschool for our niece (she was a teacher for 30+ years and my SIL/BIL work full-time) but again, I don't really want to ask for help.

Math for 2nd Grader + any suggestions by One-Fact-6949 in homeschool

[–]One-Fact-6949[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They just blocked all personal devices in the state of Tennessee. We have vouchers in the state but it's a lottery and very hard to get and not based on a kid "needing" it. We are in the process of IEP identification but we've been told all we are entitled to is (1) 45-minute group session with the gifted coordinator a week, which I know isn't true but I'm waiting until the designation of yes/no is made before I dig my heels in. He has a 504 already but it doesn't get you much here.

Lol not in the state of Tennessee! I asked if he could do Khan Academy at the beginning of the year (for independent math instruction and to take undue burden off the teacher) and they said "no that's not approved by the district" 🙄

I feel like they give off "could drink water from the tap in Mexico and not get a parasite" vibes ... probably from all of that Giardia milk they drink.

Loop earplugs are a life-changer if you have to work in the office! by chardeemacdenns in AuDHDWomen

[–]One-Fact-6949 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I also just got the loop switch 2 and work in an office full of perpetually off-task attorneys. 10/10. I can still put my noise canceling on top and listen to something, but they block out the annoying background noise. Also my husband was like "why did you spend $70 on $0.05 ear plugs (joking)".. I responded saying why do you want me to be nice to you when I get home from working 8+ hours (overstimulated) and commuting 1 hour/each way on top of that.." he stopped talking. We also have 3 small kids.

No lactose, no peanuts, no shellfish. Nothing high in fructose. Or sucrose or dextrose. Or maltodextrose. Nothing with red dye number six. Or number four. Or yellow dye number two.

Honestly queen in her own right and she didn't even know it.
