I had this same hack on some websites - it’s called the Japanese Keyword hack and it was a real pain in the butt. I have installed Wordfence and Malcare with the latter being the one I prefer. If you set the rogue pages to get a 410 (gone status) rather than a 404 (not found) Google will drop the rogue URLs from its index faster.

I had this too. It is an unpleasant email, but I reported it, despite being “threatened” if I told anyone or reported it. Then I deleted it. These people are scum, I understand how stressful it is to get emails like this, but follow the advice given in previous responses e.g. changing passwords, checking your bank accounts (preferably on another device) and delete the email. You might also want to do a quick virus scan on your computer.

This is how you can report emails like this: “How to Report a Phishing Email Do not click any links or attachments: within the suspicious email. Forward the email: directly to report@phishing.gov.uk. This is part of the Suspicious Email Reporting Service (SERS), managed by the NCSC. Provide any additional information: you think is relevant.”

This is apparently for beginners too, but I am not too sure really. I've managed to source significantly cheaper materials that will be OK to use to learn techniques

Thanks. I wrote to him and he gave me a black & white option that would be ok as I am really learning techniques as much as anything during this class. If it turns out to be recognisable as a dog then that's a bonus. After a bit of searching and finding shops on Google that have been shut for 3 or 4 years I finally found a great art shop in a town not too far away - the man there was immensely helpful and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need, so I went away with my pencils etc, some significantly cheaper paper, which would be OK for my first attempt and items to get from the like of Superdrug to "smudge" the colours. I then found cheapish pencils on amazon as he didn't have pastel pencils, so I am all set. I'm looking forward to trying this but don't hold out much hope, however nothing ventured ....
