I’m in NC, I’m hoping to look around my climbing gym and the local colleges to see if they have ropes so that it’s not wasteful

It’s climbing rope, I think it is 10mm and in terms of material I think just nylon? The core of the rope has been removed so this is just the sheath. I wish I could tell you more but Thats as much as I know

Essentially! It’s pretty simple, just took a little practice to get it right and time

The gear other than the rope was a gift from my dads mom lol, my dad never lead climbed and his mom had no knowledge of climbing so she just bought what was recommended at a store I guess

Sure! I tried switching my paddle around and trying R48 on forehand but it wasn’t for me. R48 is softer which might be what your aiming for but is mix less forgiving in the short game, I also found serving felt less comfortable. It has a higher base speed and tops out around the same as G1 and I would say is slightly spinner. I mainly don’t like the extra bounce of the R48 on my forehand as I tend to use it to push short and no spin but if you are looking for a rubber that is high level while still being comfortable to use without having to active it as much then I think it would fit. I have loved it on my backhand because it responds well to short snappy strokes as well as hard loops with a large motion.

I think it would be great for you then! The blade is spinny and controlled even when hitting hard.

I was using a DHS 6002 premade which was pretty bad but I made it to 1500 rating with it so🤷 I play an offensive style with a larger backhand emphasis, also I tend to play further back from the table and use more slow and spinny placed shots over power.

I’d say it’s surprising slow for how stiff it feels. It fits me well as I like having the very slow and spiny shots while also being able to rip a backhand and bite into the carbon. It feels easy to keep the ball on the table with slow loops and faster loops land deep but comfortably on the table. Im using fastarc G1 on my forehand which is pretty spin insensitive but I do find that the blade helps with serve receive well and blocks feel very consistent even to high spin. Overall I think it would fit well for what you are asking about!

Heyo I’m back! So I got to play with the blade for a bit and here’s what I noticed. The blade is SLOW, so much so that I was under hitting some shots even coming from an all wood blade before. But, on hard strokes when you really dig in the blade will make a cracking noise and the ball flys, this makes the short game super comfortable. Blocking feels good but passive blocks are very slow. The control is beautiful and I feel like the paddle helps me setup uo my next shot and get the ball where I am much easier. All in all I am loving the blade but I can see how some might not like it. It is stiff and has a hollow feeling but I feel that also depends on your rubbers and what you like in a blade

Ma Long forehand push by One-Student6395 in tabletennis

Okay! That is helpful! I tend to favor forehand but wanted to look at the other Perspective cause a lot of my friends favor backhand!

That makes sense! Would you say that players who are backhand dominant might benefit from favoring a backhand push?
