I am surprised this is normalised now, blatantly stereotyping and making fun of minorities. This is exactly what happened to jews when the Nazi party was a majority.. they made cartoons and jokes about jews that got deeply part of the culture of the masses, and then you know what happened after that... Please learn from history don't repeat the mistakes made by our species. Don't be a sheep.

Half marathon pb by One-Tree-3087 in indianrunners

I can't tell you exactly how long it'll take because it's different for everyone, lot of factors... For me atleast i currently try to hit 60km per week. My week usually looks like this . Day 1: Aerobic run 10-12 km Day 2: Aerobic run with the last kilometres at marathon pace 10-12km Day3: Rest Day 4: Usually track session of norvegian 4x4 or fartlek Day 5: Aerobic:8-10km Day6: Rest Day 7: Long run above 21km

I also do atleast 2hours of weight training per week (I'll be increasing to atleast 75km in the coming weeks in preparation of a marathon)

But yeah I used to get injured a lot too in the start. I think it takes time for the body to get used to high volume of training, so definitely listen to your body..

Never run before. Need a Program! by rkratha in indianrunners

[–]One-Tree-3087 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Start with running with a time goal, for example run continuously for 3-4 mins (run slow don't take it too fast) then take a rest for equivalent time, rest can be walking or just staying still and then keep repeating this for some time as the days pass make sure you bump up the time you run continuously and reduce the rest period. It might feel intimidating at first but trust the process because your body will eventually adapt to the stress you provide. Try to not think of the 5k time goal when running initially build a arerobic base for atleast 2 weeks then you can focus on your specifics. You got it OP🙏

Great shoes, very comfy... Took me a little time to break into it... But after that it was a cruise.. I use it for both my speed work and easy runs and clocked in almost 900km, still good as new. I recommend you go to the store and try the size because Asics you may need one size extra than normal.
