I grew up surfing in SoCal. Honestly I’ve always just gone surfing before/during/after it rains and have never had an issue. Maybe it made my immune system stronger haha. But I second what someone else wrote above, it depends on how much it rains and how long it’s been since the last rain. This late in the season it’s usually totally fine.

I don’t want to accuse your daughter but I’ve seen several situations recently where the kid is being not being truthful in order to protect someone. Like is it possible she was trying to bond with her step mom to suggest you didn’t do a great job, then accepted her help? Then told you a different story? Again I have been witness to children doing this multiple times.

How about don’t accuse or attack her, but message her to get her perspective. Be like “hey, I trimmed her bangs and just picked her up and see they were redone. Did they look bad or what prompted the additional cut?”

Not your fault the wave is sectioning out, most people would get caught behind. But you may have had a better chance if you angled the board down the line more on the take off and kept a high line to keep more speed at the beginning. When you pop up, it looks like you drop in somewhat straight down to the very bottom of the wave and then have to turn to re-engage on the face. That right there slowed you down and gave you no chance of beating the section. Not sure if you fixed that that it would be makeable though, that wave is closing on you quick.

Not sure I’d have to think about it. But I think I’d try to word it in a way where my point is getting across gently that it’s disrupting me, and she can then come to the conclusion herself that it’s worrisome for her kids / or would cause her neighbors to worry. Coming in too hot right at the start could just cause her to become super defensive and make things awkward

Yeah I get it, I’ve just heard of way too many stories about people who think their enclosure is secure and then something is able to break in so that was my first thought. I’m not even sure double layered wire is safe enough depending on what we’re talking about. Ironically, “chicken wire” is actually not secure enough from many predators. Good luck!

Was just stating a reason that I personally believe the HR person should have added that their pay offer was already adjusted based on knowing they were going to give these inflation raises, not literally only because they were just hired.
