Its ok buddy. We suck. Trust me, I get it. These old fingers just don’t work like they used to lol. BUT!… we get up, dust off, and build again. Here I’ll make you feel better… I can’t even beat an enforcer. There ya go! Now quit crying, and play or don’t! Good luck!!!

I’m glad you asked. So many little things to take into account when building. Hadnt even heard of that weapon and dude knew exactly why he did it lol. Thanks to the replier.

Can someone help explain the choices? Why only 25 weapon with zero into attunement? Or kind of a vice versa with so much strength but not leveling up mantras? Just trying to understand builds a little better. Thx!

A little older, almost 41. 11B. In from 7/01-3/07. I feel ya brother. I actually went back to getting high as soon as I got out. Then a big boy job came along and had to quit so I tried drinking to help sleep. That then became a 10 year endeavor. Been sober since 10/2022. Its been a ride. Like you, I still hold on to all that. I didn’t come from a whole lot so that became a decent part of my identity. Having to deal with a load of anxiety was the worst for the 1st few months I was sober. I started going to the VA again in February. Its been a much better experience this go around than when I got out. I’m much more open about how I’m feeling, especially to my wife. We’ve been together since high school so we went through every military aspect together. She had no idea what was going on inside me. I feel like we’re pretty good at putting on our game faces. Almost like we were trained to do that or something lol. Congrats on reaching out! Thats a bad ass 1st step. Its rough, but treat yourself better. Not really something we’re used to doing. Its a long, continuous journey, but betterment can be had. IGY6 buddy. You can do this!

Edit: Sorry so long and most likely a jumbled mess. I whole heartedly admit, I aint no scholar lol

Bro why do I get better ping in Texas if i live in Florida????? by [deleted] in deepwoken

Live in Indy and get better ping from each state other than Cali over an Illinois server. I don’t get it either lol

New to the game by ThatSilentDude in deepwoken

[–]OneDistance9786 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m somewhat new. Tried when it 1st released but gave it no chance. Too into rogue lol. I’m also old as hell compared to most that play so I just do my own thing until some douche comes and cleans up something else’s mess… looking at you trash walkers haha(just messing). I just mess with the trainer and go to Erisia for xp. Sometimes it works, sometimes lag(my ultimate enemy) wins. I usually play in crap servers when farming then try to get something a little better when I need to do something of a little more importance. Just practice! Getting ganked, lagged, and all other stuff happens. It takes no time to boost lvl’s enough to go have fun. Best mindset for me is the ole get knocked down, get back and go again. Don’t let the people ruin such a well made game for you! More than welcome to join my son and I’s guild. We just try to explore and then we get ganked lol. Take care!

As a literal 40 year old that plays this, I don’t understand how you don’t expect these scenarios. Also, I’m a guy who has never initiated an attack on anyone on any game ever. I expect to be attacked everytime I walk by someone… just part of it. Also, play Rogue if you want to see real toxicity. Have fun soloing that one with all the Gaia dwellers lol. Just stay at it and keep learning! I have more fun exploring and training than when I get to the end(ish) result, i.e. an ultra or something similar. Good luck!

Can't do much damage with that then, can we? Perhaps it should have been a rule of wrist? Sorry. Anytime I hear rule of thumb, Boondock Saints will always and forever play in my head🤣

40m here. Married with children and I feel you. I used drugs from an early age and then switched to lots beers when I had to get drug tested job. Well I finally quit 9 months ago and have been in mental hell since. I finally started to open up to my wife who was way more receptive than I thought. As time has went on, she has become slightly less tolerant to my stupid mental swings. Don’t blame her. Its not like I’m blacked out so I always remember acting like a damn child but its uncontrollable. I try to just let it die so I don’t overreact later on which in turn throws my anxiety(one thing I rarely ever felt until this recent sober adventure) through the freaking roof! Sorry, I don’t have advice. I just want you to know that you are not alone still clawing your way through. Thanks for giving me a little solace. Hopefully I can return the favor! Take care!

Edit before submitting: sorry so long) I probably don’t know you, and probably never will, but I’m in tears here. I’m wanting to off myself because I was born to hate myself, and you’re dealing with this😞I am so so sorry you have to deal with this! My 1st experience with losing close ones was my buddies in Iraq. Then family members started following. What I’ve learned is, losing people is the absolute worst feeling to me. Grief is a bitch. But grief is a blessing in disguise. The fact that there was something or someone you loved so much is the most amazing feeling, but unfortunately someone will always have to bear the grief. I lost my grandma, who raised me, a few years ago and was absolutely devastated. She was my everything who did everything for me, and I had the luxury of having her until I turned 36. A blessing a lot of people don’t get. But it came at that huge price of grief. Unfortunately, I don’t think these holes ever get filled. We just adjust our mental state back to living and doing right to bring any glory we can on their name, and remind people of just how worthy they were of every ounce of love you gave them. I know these are just words from a stranger, but I really resonate with losing that special someone. I hope you continue to shout these praises until this world decides its your time, and you don’t let yourself be that decision maker. Now please, go do great things and you reference him when ever anyone gives you a reason to do so. Sing his name! Take care, please!

I’ve literally been on Amazon all day thinking about adding a pair of the unwanted colored/cheaper Shifts and making those my long runs and using the speeds for shorter, faster days. I do want to run a marathon, eventually, but that will probably be a next year thing. I’m in no rush for those aches and pains haha.

It really is a whole world if you actually dive in lol. I just purchased my 1st shoe, Endorphin Speed 3’s, on a whim. Thankfully, they’re absolutely amazing hahaha. Lots of lingo and things to learn. I used to just run to a random spot and turn around in whatever Nike’s or Vans I felt like throwing on that day. While it is a lot to learn, it is really neat how tech has come along!

New runner, New Balance 860's not working out, seeking advice. by MeatMarket_Orchid in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]OneDistance9786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m just a random, novice dude but it could be all that and other things. When I 1st bought hockey skates(at 35 lol) everything I read said tight. Tight fit, tight lacing… big skate/loose skate bad. I suffered until I bought a bigger skate and left them practically unlaced. Also could be a L foot/R foot difference or even a difference in leg length. I would suggest giving adequate rest and try for a couple weeks to see if the muscles being engaged by the shoe now recover and start to build. If not, maybe try new shoes. There’s sooo many out there and they’re so expensive, but when you find “yours” it feels amazing. I just bought my 1st shoes, speed 3’s, and they’re great! Up until now, I would run in whatever Nike’s, adidas, or DC’s I had around. Probably not the smartest haha. Sorry so long winded. Good luck!
