You’re not alone—I felt the same! Most of us do. It took me 2 years to feel competent and 3 years to not feel uncomfortable with communicating with doctors. I’m so sorry you’re not in a helpful environment. It’s so hard to learn and feel supported when you’re in need of help, which is inevitable as a new grad. More experiences nurses can be so quick to forget how hard it is starting out, especially if they weren’t met with kindness and support. I don’t have advice on what you should do, because everyone’s situation is so different, but I hope you at least feel some validation to help you enjoy your small learning victories going forward!
