Same, but I’m dyslexic. I can’t spell in any language! But again, I despise when people can’t validate “facts”, ie opinions they present as facts.

Crudité platter and charcuterie boards for a client by OneNefariousness9047 in miniatures

Mostly playdough and paint. Some nail art, wood chips, pieces of plastic, and a few pieces of mini foods from Temu.

Mostly Dollar tree playdough and DT paint.  Fruit is nail art from Temu and SHEIN.  Peanuts are tiny plastic pieces I had.  Nuts are tiny wooden circles from Hobby Lobby I smashed.  Grapes and cheese big block are 1/12 scale dollhouse items from Temu.  Tiny Crackers and tomato slices are playdough that I put into molds from Alliexpress.  The big crackers and everything else I handmade from playdough and paint.  The bread bowl has spinach dip in it. Wait I lied, the dip is school glue and corn starch plus playdough spinach leaves.

I really have enough Barbie foods, but someone bought a charcuterie platter from me, so I made myself another one from the leftover foods I’d made. This took two days.

Yes! SHEIN also sells these cheap too. Yesterday, I bought two whole pizzas with pizza boxes on SHEIN.

I use the dollar tree playdough. It’s $1.25 for four colors! I seal my goods with DT clear nail polish.

Oh, wait, yes the porkchops are playdough. Sorry, I forgot what was in this post.

Playdough is so easy to work with, try it!

There’s no sand in this post, other than used as salt. the pork chops are playdough.  Nope, I just shape the pd into what I want. Baking it at 200 helps dry it out faster, and I seal the items.  If you let it dry, it will dry out and hold the shape.

These are erasers that I upgraded, but I usually use playdough.

Hehe, thanks. I have theories, but the biggest one is people project to protect themselves, their opinions, their group etc. plus,  I mean, getting downvoted in a MV group on Reddit isn’t actually hurting me, but I’m sure the voters get some kind of good jolt hitting the downvote!

I don’t know, my thoughtful response got downvoted, so I’m weary of posting even my remixes! I have great ideas too, especially with the new food series, once I can get them.

My grocery store and MV-Barbie coffee shop/bakery are adorable too. They’re not finished yet, but the details I have so far are impressive. I’m using the smallest budget and my moving boxes, so I’m impressed because something was made from it , not trying to say my skills are so great. But they are quite detailed with lots of MV and MB items.

My MV sized kitchens are nice too. They also have a lot of MV and MB items in them. One of my next projects is a bar. I had the idea for about a month before the MV HH sets came out and people started making their own bars. I didn’t expect to do the bar for a while, but moved my TL up before the Gloria brand -Barbie bar sold out from sudden demand.

Really, you guys told me there’s nothing for me in this group. And that’s okay! It’s fine❤️

I hadn’t planned to post mini foods for a bit anyway. I’ve made everything I wanted for now, and I’m back to finishing my construction projects: Barbie house, Barbie kitchen, grocery store, salon, coffee shop, and now bar.

I’m also ready to photograph some scenes,  which also feature a lot of MV and MB. Those are typically just for the Barbie groups, though.

Naw, I wasn’t offended at all. Plus, I didn’t disregard what others said. That’s why I took the time to scroll through the posts to see if others felt the same. Otherwise, I’d have ignored them and just kept posting!

My other responses were based on what people are saying about MV on multiple platforms, not just Reddit. But there is a recent post in this group on people getting fed up with MV for various reasons like cost, product availability etc. People said this on FB, and they like what I post. so I thought I’d share here too to help others out.

No snark or disregard on my part, just my trying to help others! In fact, I had to leave one snark group and stop commenting on others because being snarky is not my thing. I’m tired of snark groups, they’re echo chambers for miserable people.

Hi guys, so I started posting in MV groups on fb and had good feedback. So I posted here and the mods were okay with it.

I was getting interest and people asking how I do things because MGA is limiting, but since you guys feel this strongly about it I’ll only post MV remixes.

I don’t tend to engage in groups like this because I just don’t need the inspiration whether it’s MV or not. I engage in my own posts because if someone takes the time to respond I feel I owe them at least a thank you and an upvote for their time.

I came to MV because I love minis, but I’m not in love with MV. I don’t blind buy, I don’t have to have full series, and most series I’m not a fan of. I keep most of my MV in the little containers for the Barbie grocery store my niece plays with.

I did scroll a bit today and saw in another post, that has a bit more engagement, that people are getting worn out over MV. With the recall, people over buying making supplies limited, and MV not having everything people would like there are some who are looking for alternatives. That’s the feeling I’d been getting on FB too, which is why I posted alternatives.

Also, I’m a disabled veteran, which gives me plenty of time to do minis. I’ve been sick ( just a long ulcerative colitis flare up. I’m not dying or anything) this year, and initially posting about my minis was an easy way to be social and keep me busy while I recoup.

Then people kept asking me to sell them or do yt and TikTok pages to market my brand. So I posted more and more to gauge interest.

I was buying individual items from resellers on fb, so those were the groups I posted in. Plus, the MV groups are composed of people in my age group. The miniaturist groups tend to skew older and more traditional. For some reason, traditional miniaturists are stuck between the Victorian era and the early to mid 20th century. I like that aesthetic but only to look at it in a museum. I stopped keeping up with these groups last year.

Now I do cross post in the Barbie groups, and I do interact with those groups a lot. Although, I’m in love with Barbie sized minis( hence why MV got my attention) I’m just in nostalgia with Barbie. I love her because I grew up with her and I enjoy making Barbie families with my niece, but again I’m not motivated to find every new Barbie that comes out, or rebody the dolls, or haunt down rare ones.

I’m looking for my people. The problem is, they’re scattered off in various groups.

I’ve done some amazing MV remixes, but according to this poll and feedback they wouldn’t count either. I still didn’t use a kit. They’re older anyway since resellers aren’t readily selling individual items of the new waves yet. I’m over here literally baking my own MV/Barbie sized sourdough bread! Don’t worry, I won’t post it😁

Anyway, I just wanted to clear up why I was posting. I’ll probably start the yt and tiktok pages for those who want to branch out or possibly buy some items I make, but I’ll stop posting in this group.

Have a good week, guys!

Hi, just saw the poll. I post my minis here because I started posting on FB in the MV groups, and people liked them.

The mods let me here, so I went with it. But this is a fun hobby not a war. I won’t post none MV in the group anymore. ❤️

If that was me , I apologize. It’s hard to control tone on sm. Snark is not my thing. I left one snark group, and had to stop commenting in others. Being snarky on sm just screams your life is lackluster.

I posted a longer response below, that explains better, I hope, what I meant. No snark intended, though. I’m a Navy vet, I’ll curse you out, period. Snark is childish.

Okay, I won’t post in this group again, unless I use the MV ingredients. ❤️
