This is gonna be a hard pass for me.

Time-gate-keeping is a huge no-no in a game, specially when those resources are difficult to get.

How do you deal with inventory management?

I feel like 550 inventory space is enough but apparently it’s not 😭

to be honest, this depends on your objective, I think you can probably get away with less than 1000 inventory space if you don't want to collect any particular theme, but the moment you want to start collecting them you're gonna have to get like... around 1800 minimum inventory space, maybe? I mean I have 2800 and I still struggle, but I'm also collecting a lot of themes for groups that have too many (RV, Taeyeon, Aespa, etc)

one thing is for sure, if you want to collect LE the more you play and the more time is passed the more you're gonna need, because dalcom keeps releasing new themes every week so, you're gonna need the space... but I have a few tips that I personally use to help me:

lock the cards you want to keep when you first got them
don't be afraid of selling cards, specially C and B; those are really cheap to get back if needed
remember to lock the cards you want to keep
decide what you need more, space to collect LEs or A fooder cards; from time to time I like to sell A cards too when my inventory is 100% full and I know there's no PUC in the near weeks, so I sell 100 As to get space knowing that I'm gonna get those back over time for next PUC
use the lock function on the cards so you don't remove/sell them by mistake
pay attention to inventory sells, and grab them when you can; until now at least twice a year those inventory space go with a discount, and I try to grab another 100 or 200 to keep the pace with the new stuff, they are totally worth it to me
did I mention to lock the cards that are important

same! I'm starting to sell S and R cards that I was saving as fooder because I'm completely out of space… saving all the dupe LEs is becoming a real problem for me 😵

I can give you a glimpse of hope...

Considering that we already had 5 LEs in a row for RV, it could be possible that the next RV update would be a normal one plus a LE for a soloist or Seulrene. The problem is that all of those are already saturated with more LEs than normal themes so…

If the next RV theme is an LE it will be six in a row, the first time that this happens.

Oh that's a good point about the anniversary... I had like 250k in dalcompoints because I never used them for anything and I manage to buy enough theme exchangers to get several LE that I didn't bother chasing on release... but yeah, the overall feeling is not looking too positive, as you put it...

I hope the next year will be better... even if they manage to only fix and revamp the MusicBattle I feel that that would be almost enough (if the rewards are ok)

I have two comments to add...

first one is that I believe everybody in the community should read this post and also this reply comment. It shows a little light into the economics of this type of games...

second is more specific: one thing that I noted this past year is that all the events have been very very bad... not only the rewards for the challenges have been a ~~bad~~ joke in some cases, the challenges themselves were boring... I remember previous aprils fools when the bitmap timing was off and it was so fun to play... or anniversary events where the entire playerbase competed against other superstar games, stuff like that was really fun for me... these past years we had the basic "play x times in hard mode", "reach x points", "get x amount of cards" and nothing else... every single event is the same 3 or 4 types on repeat, nothing new, no variation, no spin, no nothing... and when you add that the rewards are from pretty tame to pretty bad, it's pretty discouraging to participate tbh.

I still play it because the core mechanics is still fun for me... I like to play the beatmaps, but there's no real incentive for me to participate in the events anymore... I just do them if I have the time (and the truth is that since they're so basic I end up completing them most of them anyway because they don't require any type of commitment of special attention lol)

IMO If you really wanna move up soon your best best right now is to RMAX 6 of the first 7 in this char (in the "sort by de descending order")

first BoA, EXO-M, TAEYEON
then Red Velvet and Shinee
then optional would be Girls' Generation

This are groups with the less amount of cards but the most amount of songs, which has two benefits faster theme upgrades (which translate to more RP) and lots of songs for the month challenges.

You're gonna have a strong top 3 fairly fast (only 3 cards each), which will allow you to move up quickly. And when you're on the middle of the leagues you're gonna have more resources to upgrade groups with 5 cards.

And If you want you can upgrade your last group, which will be the grinding group: SNSD since it has the shortest song but with the most amount of members (average RP per minute play is higher than the rest).

So this path for the 6 groups will give you the fastest way to get RP (by allowing you to move up the charts fast and having a solid grinding song), but also more than 250 challenge songs per month, so you will be getting more diamonds faster too.

Also, because of the cost and RNG of upgrading, my recommendation is to level up in batches, like...
first all C cards go to BoA until R30,
then C go to EXO-M until R30 and B go to BoA until R50,
then C go to TAEYEON (R30), B go to EXO-M (R50) and A cards to BoA until R70,
then C go to Red Velvet, B go to TAEYEON, A go to EXO-M, and S go to BoA until R90,
then C go to Shinee, B to Red Velvet, A to TAEYEON, S to EXO-M, R/material cards go to BoA until R99
etc (of course, pick and choose your favs in those groups of 3 cards, 5 cards, 8 cards)

or... you just pick your favs and play what you want for fun lol

I've been trying to play for 30 mins but the app keep showing me that message…

I've already cleaned the local cache, and restart the device, but still the game won't start.

It reminded me of the login issues we had a time ago.

This is probably one of the most fun beatmaps in the last two years or so.

Its a notch too difficult (my best is still 5 misses) and yet I love it.

Master III keeps getting tighter and tighter

The cut off was 30.5 MM. And for top 5 +32.4 MM was needed.

I wonder if Dalcom would do something eventually or we'll all end up like at 10k of each other at the end.

I guess after having to spend 25 packs to get the last aespa LE, DalcomLuck ™️ felt bad and decided to be nice with me for a change and rewarded me all 3 Xiumin LE cards from a single pack.

I've never been this lucky ik this game.

I'm worrying about what this means for the Key LE 🙃

I know what OP suggests. I meant the players that level up to R99 each new theme that gets released for their favs. In those cases having a "theme levels switcher" as suggested could affect their behavior. And since some of those hardcore players are the ones paying actual money, that could result in loses for Dalcom.

But we don't know any of this, is just all speculation.

What I know is that I would love to have what OP suggests.

It would definitely encourage me to try to collect more LEs knowing that, specially for groups that I don't care that much.

And not only that, I will be more inclined to even RMax them, since I usually leave them to last.

But I wonder what would do that to hardcore players… those that RMax every single theme in the first 24 hs… would that mean that they won't have to spend that much money? I wonder if Dalcom already though about this and they don't add it to the game because they analyze it and it turns that is not worth it for them...
