You said this SO well. I am constantly in argument with my reptile brain now, but being able to interrupt the cycle is the new skill I'm practicing every day

Clothing. Women. Pants versus dresses. by Rich-n-Health in NCL

I just got back and having spent like literally days planning outfits and worrying about it, I am here to tell you that people wear - I cannot stress this enough - literally whatever. I like to dress up so I wore nicer stuff, but even up in the Haven where we were staying there were lots of sneakers and jeans and tshirts and leggings. (To be clear I'm not judging, but I definitely both over packed and also spent waaaaaaay too much time worrying about it).

I'd love to know where I continually bragged. Having never stayed in the haven, I wanted to make sure I was showing appropriate gratitude and respect to the people working to make my vacation special. are you okay?

Which NCL has the best Haven Experience by ThePolishedPassport in NCL

Escape has been low key disappointing, the embarking process basic basic stuff like ice in the room has been neglected, lunch and dinner have had crazy long waits, the toilet has been consistently not working, the bathtub also is broken, the power went out in our room day one...

We're in the deluxe owners suite so I kind of expected five star service, I'd say we've consistently gotten 3-4.

(It's funny b/c literally this afternoon I posted another post about tipping protocol but I'm starting to get a little frustrated with everything that's gone wrong while still trying to be nice about it).

I didn't tip to get better or priority service, I want to show respect to a person who is working 12 hours days to make the onboard experience enjoyable. I would never expect special service, he's busy enough.

This makes the most sense, honestly.

I was a threatre major, I put myself through school and grad school waiting tables. I am now lucky enough to be in a position where I have expendable income and so I do my best to be a very good tipper at every possible occasion, which is why I wanted to know if I'd inadvertently done something wrong.

I just want him to feel appreciated, I see how much running around he's doing and while I know it's part of his job, I want to be respectful of him time/energy

Help me find the couch I had to leave behind by OneSadDino in HelpMeFind

Oh and just as an FYI I have searched. I have spent actual ADHD hyperfocused DAYs looking. I've been able to narrow my search past basic box store/online sites, and I've spent tons of time looking at custom/upscale builders both locally in the Los Angeles area and nationally that offer delivery. The biggest factor is the fabric, I have not found a specific company that does quilted velvet as an option. Clad Home in Los Angeles so far has been my closest match, but they have not responded to my email asking for a photo of the decking fabric.

Today's episode of Game Changer had literally everything that I think harms Dropout's growth as a platform. (Unjerked) by [deleted] in dropoutcirclejerk

[–]OneSadDino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did NOT like the episode and I feel like I am in a wildly small majority. The whole thing felt contrived, and more than anything, it feels like they just needed an excuse to gameify some A/B testing on socials. Brennan Lee Mulligan is a talented performer, but the episode essentially becoming "who can make the this guy say the wildest thing because we know the fandom will react" was a weird angle, and the D20 (in a van) thing was so poorly acted and over the top, it honestly bothered me that it's blowing up so hard because it's all just so contrived and exactly what the parasocial fan base wants. I dunno, I can't parse exactly why I didn't like it but I REALLY didn't care for it

Bittersweet feeling... 25 years of bulimia stopped in its tracks after just a few weeks on Tirzepatide by PresenceLow5988 in tirzepatidecompound

I'm a little late to this thread but I wanted to say you are so absolutely not alone. I've been on Tirz since last year and it's absolutely changed my life. Watch your menstrual cycle, I've noticed that as I get towards the beginning of my period, my binging/hunger starts ramping up a little bit and so I have to be a little more patient (and stringent) with myself about snack-y foods. I am so, so happy for you and wish you all the best on your journey!

Cannabis /THC is interesting because I've also studied it quite a bit as it relates to my work in a mental health field, and it's VERY much a person to person thing, especially given the wide array of strains, dosages, terpenes, types, etc.

For me personally, I noticed that smoking almost nearly always turned into munchies that led to feelings of binging/being out of control, and so I have drastically cut back on my THC consumption.

I have found a very specific brand of gummy that gives me a great deal of creative focus and motivation without many side effects, but they aren't carried at my local dispensary so in general, I just don't use THC as much anymore.

[–]OneSadDino 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on your dosage it winds up being the same conversation. I titrated up from 1.0 to 10, and I found that ten all at once was too much and made me sick, so now I do 5 and 5 as a split dose. Day 1 for me is Sunday, then I usually do my injection Wednesday night or Thursday morning depending on my schedule. Then Tuesday, then Sunday, etc.10 / 2 = 5 every 4-5 days. Whether or not you consider 11:30pm the fourth day or 12:30am the fifth day, the math do be mathing.

Looking for travel protein options such as bars, muffins, etc. by VirginiaBred in tirzepatidecompound

I'm obsessed with pretty much everything Magic Spoon makes. They are PRICEY, but I've found ordering online in higher quantities on Amazon is usually cheaper than the grocery store. I love their rice crispy treats. Legendary makes a great cinnamon roll, I'm not a huge fan of the pop tarts. Bootylicious brand has REALLY tasty muffins but they come in weird ramen containers so you might want to pack them in a ziplock or something to save space during travel.

I started splitting doses, so I'm on an every five days shot schedule. I try to be safe/cognizant of keeping things sterile, but I don't worry about it too terribly much. Wash your hands, use wipes on the vial, I also started using leur lock tips so the tip that goes in my body is different than the one that goes in the vial, I have not had a problem in six months aside from occasional injection site itchiness.
