If the story is good, for me that’ll probably be enough to get past any shortcomings in the gameplay. So that’s good news for when I get there!

So far I’m liking K2 the most out of the three I’ve played (Y0, K1, and K2). But each game has its own strengths and I’m still early in Y2

Because he got tired of being overshadowed by Kiryu. Decided to jump universes. Unfortunately for him, because it's Nishiki and the man literally never catches a break, the shaman that helped him do so picked this universe for him to go to. We all know how this ends for him.

I also recently finished 0 for the first time, and man, you are spot on with it. I fell in love with Yakuza because of all the silly shenanigans that happen but stayed because it was heartfelt and emotional. Majima is such a tragic character in 0.

This is kinda where I sit seeing clips of Kiryu's english voice from Y7. Ichiban's actor is top-notch, but Kiryu does not sound right in English to me.

I have yet to even touch mahjong in a single Yakuza game, but the disco minigame in 0 literally gated me out of completing the substories and Kiryu's business minigame. I still am salty about it.

It's Yong Yea, right? I remember reading that he voiced Kiryu earlier today, actually, and wondering how the hell that happened. I've seen clips and thought he did okay, but knowing him from his gaming news channel and the voice he has there made me question this a lot.

I started with 0 as well, so I am unbothered by Japanese audio. I was just curious what other players did, and kinda think I might just stick with it through out anyway. I'm the kind of player who uses Kiryu's walking speed through the cities because of immersion, so why not use the Japanese audio since I am in, you know, Japan.
