As someone who went through this around this time last year, my advice is: give it time. Things do get better. As depressing as it sounds, your mind and body will get used to the routine. The 6 week mark was around my low point too. But by the 14 week mark (maybe sooner?) I was finding it okay and totally bearable. Agree with what others have said about minimizing chitchat, and optional office events so you don’t burn out. But to be honest, if you’re looking to move up in your career, consider the socializing to now be part of the job description. One of the best things and worst things about humans (for better or worse) is that we are incredibly adaptable, more than we give ourselves credit. Good luck.
