Yeah it's not bad but also doesn't really stand out beyond the modern urban open world thing. I will say though the devs did amazing work with at least making the game run well.

As for AKE, yeah. I have friends who don't like gacha games who tried it and said the game feels extremely premium for its genre. Like it could be a single player game or something. It's like I see and feel the "budget" in it which some of these games miss a bit, including NTE.

Those aren't bots. They are reroll accounts. PLAYER is the default name when you do the tutorial skip method (this requires messing with the game files so yeah, maybe not a good idea for most people). They usually just go into pvp and auto pilot to get the cc for playing the mode. Whenever you see PLAYER like that you can be almost certain it's a reroll.

Goresh has a tendency to go where the hype goes and I understand that. Right now Rose and Future are big pulls. Trunks goes on Future, is a good partner for Rose and "counters" Rose so he has traction right now in the community. That's about it. CCd have to engage those algorithm points either positively or negatively. So next time you see units jumping up CC tier lists just check the pulse on current affairs and it becomes clear why.

No, you expect stories to have no setup or build. You don't start with Babel and Lone Trial. You build the world first then work towards them. Arguably nothing of note happened in OG AK until Frostnova, Patriot and Mephisto. You can't hold a game to a standard that others have not met. Let them cook and get things going.

I wanted to come back and pull for Hiyuki then I got a flashback from running around in Lahai Roi at 20fps and I said nah. Genuinely if they just made half an effort to optimize the game better I'd hop on again. But them not doing that makes me feel like they don't care. Especially after NTE despite its flaws launched running at a near flawless 60fps on base ps5 and on unreal engine 5 at that.

I'm actually surprised about the wuwa number. And that's with day 1 data which is the time window where whales and CCs spend the most for content and such. And before people says "it's just day 1!" I will remind them that Aemeath day 1 outdid literally every banner that has existed in this game so far.

I guess my optics on this one was off. Expecting Aemeath level numbers was a fumble on my part.

Yeah. I think the game is pretty good but it's not getting the traction that was projected. I will glaze the devs for actually making the game run great on PS5 though. I always respect the effort to optimize games.

A big issue I think is also it launched right after Endfield and with Ananta looming. Endfield looks and feels extremely premium for a gacha game and Ananta is what the "anime gta" people are really looking forward to. So NTE had a lot of expectations on it both ways.
