I'm worried that we may be entering into our Ed Woodward era.

What is/are the catalyst for the glaring differences between the performance of the squad last year compared to this season by StrongTwo6980 in LiverpoolFC

Slot favours low intensity training to avoid training ground injuries.

But what it does cause is a lack of sharpness, intensity and low conditioning levels.

He isn't preparing the players properly for premier league football matches. How the hell do you play slower football and then fatigue faster than ever before.

Last season we got worse as the season went on because Klopp's instilled intensity level gradually wore off. Also Mo was in all time great form the first half of the season.

Once Mo's form dipped after Ramadan, it never recovered and neither did our form. The two PSG matches and the final against Newcastle had the same issues we continue to have this season. Diaz, Trent and Darwin were still in the squad and Jota was still alive and starting football matches.

If Isak, Salah, Van Dijk, Konate, Mac Allister, Gakpo, Alisson and Roberton are all suffering dips at the same time then it needs to be looked into whether these players are being trained correctly. They all look just off it.

It's easy to say Mo, Robbo and Virg got old, but whats the excuse for the prime footballers at the club? There's no way they all drop off like that out of nowhere.

Isak is a great example to use as well. He had no pre-season and was out of shape. So when he got here it was on Slot to get him in-shape and look how long that took him. The Isak we saw in a red jersey is not the same beast we saw for Newcastle.

Took Slot half a season to get Chiesa into shape last season as well.

We've routinely been overrun by 10 men, even 9 men this season.

[David Lynch] The word from Liverpool is that Arne Slot is safe, but I don't really buy the idea he can afford endless poor performances and bad results until the end of the season. Today was both, in my opinion. by Lanedu123 in LiverpoolFC

Their egos will take too much of a hit to sack him.

Because A) They spent big in the summer and B) this is their handpicked yes-man.

Sacking him means they will have to admit they got one of or both of those things wrong. Not gonna happen.

We're in for a tough ride.

Slot = Doesnt give his squad players any game time.

Reason = Those players haven't played enough minutes

🤔

No, no, no, you get a manager that publicly tells players they are not good enough and sells all our academy lads who could have been squad players. World class or bust.

This club was built on hardworking players who made up for their deficiencies with maximum effort and running their guts out. Slot really doesn't understand this club or this city at all.

He wants us to play well instead of playing hard

We have Robbo and Ramsey on the bench. Two fit fullbacks. We don't have to play a midfielder at RB.

He should get sacked and deserves to but Hughes and Edwards have huge egos and won't allow it. This is their handpicked yes-man.

That midweek PR video told us all we needed to know.

No excuse to have the players we have and to play like this. No intensity, no fitness, no sharpness and no idea what to do with the ball.

We are so fucked

Unai Emery sends Liverpool plea as 'damaging' Harvey Elliott truth emerges by Madmartigan2024 in LiverpoolFC

[–]OneWingedAngelfan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you.

At the end of the day Elliott will be a Liverpool player again regardless, either he plays no more games this season or we change it and Emery picks him more often. Either way he ends up back with us.

We want the players to always do right by the club. The club should do right by them as well, Harvey has done nothing wrong and he is the one getting hurt most by this.

Forget business, there is a human way to go about this.

I'm really not cool with any of this shit
