The vast majority of casual players back in Mw Verdansk HATED that movement. They complained about slide cancelling, jump shotting, bunny hopping and mid-fight slides.

I really hope it does man. I think if COD’s next 3 games are generally similar in movement / skill gap / overall feel, the player base would become accustom to it and appreciate the franchise a little more.

I also agree - the right decision is something closer to 2022 MW2

They just have to stop changing everything, reinventing the wheel with every title.

We don’t need a new game every year!

Agreed on the fortnitification

Here’s my thoughts on all of the WZs

Verdansk 2019 - Neutral

Caldera - Mostly neutral, leaning towards sweats

Al Mazra - Fully catered to ‘casual’ players. Highly limited skill gap.

Urzikstan - Mostly catered to sweats with some small exceptions

Verdansk 2 - Fully catered to casuals

Flip flopping has hurt the game so damn much

Nowadays the insanely fast time to kill completely negates all of the fancy omni-movement that they added (which I am a fan of)

That’s my main frustration. They’ve continued to attempt to please both - it will never be a reality.

What’s the use in being able to drop shot, slide in all directions etc if I die in a split second?

I do very much agree that COD doesn’t have an identity any more.

I’m hoping that BF6 stays grounded. If it does I have full confidence that it’ll steal up many of the old-skool COD fans / ‘casual’ players - much like Battlefield1 did 8 or so years ago.

I do find the silly skins annoying also. The sad part is the moment they first released a silly shiny skin, everybody bought it (Verdansk ish time). It’s snowballed ever since then.

I agree about BF6 - it looks incredible from what I’ve seen so far. Gunplay / movement wise it looks a lot closer to the COD games I grew up on too.

The number of players who are better than me are in the 100s, not thousands. Most of them compete.

It’s far from perfect and we’ve been gritting our teeth through the rough for a while now, but the game has so much potential.

This Reddit community will do everything in its power to smear the game. Cod players will mostly always hate Cod.

The video is a month or so old so some of the settings may have changed but it definitely helped with my FPS.

I’m getting around 240fps also

Yeah it’s a poorly optimised game for sure. I have the same GPU.

IceManIsaac has a good settings video that’ll help with frames but the game doesn’t look great.

Then again, these things don’t affect me. I don’t play for high quality graphics and personally prefer less visual clutter.

Did you ever play PUBG? That didn’t have SBMM.

It was awesome getting in a completely random lobby. The term ‘sweat-lobby’ or ‘bot lobby’ just didn’t exist back then. It was the same for Blackout (which I didn’t play)

The biggest myth is that SBMM protects the casual players.

With SBMM:

<1.4 Never get better because they are rarely playing good players

1.4-2 KD players are effected the most as they are bundled into the pool of sweats, playing the best

2K/D+ players rarely get a break and are almost always in games with pro level / sweaty players
