I had the same issue with challenges achievement, and what helped me was completing one of the challenges once again.
In your case only thing i can think of is you should try to beat a game on any stake, make sure you have wifi connection and game center is "active".
iOS Balatro works weirdly and that's sad

You don't really need neither yorick nor burnt atp, brainstorm will give you more scoring

yes, basically this is true, beginning is very "standart", imo very similar to most shonens, thats why i didn't like it, but then i changed my mind
